Visiting parents with new baby (5 months old) and need to wash some of her things. Unfortunately my parents’ washing machine is covered in mold stains from before they knew front-loaders need to be left open between washes😕 My mom has previously tried to get the stains out, but they won’t budge.

Would you wash baby’s things in it? Or go to a laundromat? I don’t feel good about either options but I can’t tell what’s my OCD talking. My parents say it’s fine to use their washing machine but they’re not concerned about mold like I am.

As the title says… has anyone else experienced this with their LO?

My LO just turned 5 months old yesterday. Over the past couple of weeks she has had some amazing progression in her development— naturally extending her wake windows from 1.5-2 hours to 2.5-3 hours, and becoming even more alert, active, happy, and vocal. Now, just over the past couple of days, she seems to be more fussy in general and especially around the 1 hour mark of her wake windows— by 1.5 hours she is clearly uncomfortable and needing a naps. She is still alert, active, happy, and vocal but it feels like significantly less so. Her night sleep seems unaffected (10-12 hours with 2-3 wakeups for feeding and/or comfort).

Admittedly I have PPA/OCD that I’m struggling to manage. I chronically think and worry about neurodevelopmental issues (the current subject of my OCD), and regressions terrify me. So this small issue which seems like a regression of sorts is sending me into a spiral. I will be asking her pediatrician at our next appointment but in the mean time I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this with their LO and/or knows whether it’s normal?

Admittedly I have pretty severe PPA/OCD that I’m struggling to manage. I chronically think and worry about neurodevelopmental issues (the current subject of my OCD), and regressions terrify me. So this thing which seems like a regression of sorts is sending me into a spiral.
