FC 27 on PC – DualShock 4 Bluetooth disconnects / LED turns off when the game starts
I’m having a strange controller issue with EA SPORTS FC 27 on PC (EA App).
I’m using an original PS4 DualShock 4 via Bluetooth.
The controller works perfectly in Windows:
- It connects normally through Bluetooth.
joy.cpldetects it correctly.- All buttons and analog sticks work normally.
- It also works normally when connected by USB cable.
But as soon as I launch FC 27, the controller’s LED turns off completely when I enter the game, and the controller stops responding in FC 27.
The strange part is that after this happens, if I close the game and check joy.cpl, Wireless Controller is still detected. So Bluetooth itself doesn't appear to disconnect.
Things I already tried:
- Re-pairing the DualShock 4 through Bluetooth.
- Restarting the PC.
- Repairing FC 27 through EA App.
- Reinstalling EA Anti-Cheat.
- Running FC 27 directly through EA App.
- Running it with Steam completely closed.
- Adding FC 27 to Steam as a Non-Steam Game and trying Steam Input.
- DS4Windows — but FC 27 closes/crashes when DS4Windows is running.
USB works, Bluetooth doesn't.
Has anyone experienced the exact same issue with a DualShock 4 on FC 27? Especially the LED turning off as soon as FC 27 starts while the controller remains visible in joy.cpl?
I’m specifically looking for a way to keep using the DualShock 4 wirelessly over Bluetooth, without DS4Windows.
