Looking for Rust Dev Opportunities

I’m currently looking for remote work and could really use some advice or opportunities.

I have 4+ years of software engineering experience, including 1 year of professional Rust development. Most of my recent work has been in backend development and blockchain infrastructure.

Here are some of the things I can help with:
Rust development
Backend API development
PostgreSQL and database design
Bug fixing and debugging
Performance optimization
Building CLI tools
Backend services and distributed systems
Blockchain/DeFi development
Code reviews and testing
Technical documentation

I have a mac, a stable internet connection, and I’m comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken.

I’m a quick learner, professional, and always willing to learn new technologies if the role requires it.

I’m currently open to freelance, contract, part-time, or full-time remote opportunities. If you know of any companies hiring Rust or backend engineers, or have any suggestions on where I should be looking, I’d really appreciate it.

Booked Kia Sonet HTK(O) Yesterday! First Car - Anything I Should Know Before Delivery?

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I booked my Kia Sonet HTK(O) 1.2 Petrol Manual. This is going to be my first car, so I’m really excited. 😄

After test-driving multiple cars (Sonet, Venue, Nexon, Fronx, Exter, etc.), I felt the Sonet suited me the best in terms of comfort, premium feel, features, and overall driving experience.

Here are the details:
Variant: HTK(O) 1.2 Petrol Manual
On-road price: ₹9.40 lakh

Dealer also agreed to provide floor mats, mud flaps, and rain visors.
I’ll mostly be driving in Himachal Pradesh, so there will be hills, village roads with occasional potholes, and some highway trips to Chandigarh/Jammu.

Before taking delivery, I wanted to ask existing Sonet owners:

Any issues you’ve faced with the 1.2 petrol engine?

What real-world mileage are you getting in city, highways, and hilly areas?

Any must-have accessories apart from the ones I’m already getting?

Anything specific I should check during the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)?

Any maintenance or ownership tips for a first-time owner?
Would love to hear your experiences—both good and bad. Thanks in advance!

Jio AirFiber Installation Nightmare – No Installation, No Responses, and No Way to Cancel

I live in a remote area of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. I recently shifted from Chandigarh to my hometown and wanted to get Jio AirFiber installed.

I submitted a request through Jio’s website, and an agent was assigned to me. After repeatedly following up with him, he finally came for the KYC process, and I completed the payment.

After that, he kept telling me “tomorrow” every single day regarding the installation. Eventually, he stopped responding altogether. My WhatsApp messages were being marked as seen, but I wasn’t getting any replies.

Out of frustration, I messaged him, “At least reply.” He then said he was going through some personal issues and gave me the number of another agent.

I contacted the second agent, provided my ORN, and he assured me that the installation team would come soon. However, when I tried calling him today, he didn’t answer either.

At this point, I was completely frustrated and asked him to cancel my order. He simply replied, “Ok.”

The problem is that my order is still active, and I cannot find any option to cancel it myself. There doesn’t seem to be any clear cancellation process.

Honestly, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. I’ve spent weeks following up with agents, making calls, sending messages, and getting nothing but delays and false promises. I’m seriously regretting choosing Jio AirFiber and don’t think I’ll use Jio services again after this.

Has anyone faced a similar situation? How can I get this order cancelled and my refund processed?
