Which earbuds...ACTUALLY stay in your ear?
I'm at my wits end. Of everything I've tried, nothing will stay put. After a mile, my ears get sweaty and the earbuds play pop goes the weasel.
I used to use the wired Bose earbuds that had the wingtip which pushed out against the inner cartilage of your ear (I forget the name of the model). They got a little wonky with the USB-C adapters and eventually kicked the bucket altogether. But damn how I took those for granted.
I tried Beats Fit Pros and they were better than the other options I've tried, but they didn't stay put past about a mile and a half. For the price, the lack of security isn't worth it.
I've tried open-ear styles as well (Soundcore C50i), which sounded like listening to a radio at a reasonable volume from three houses over, and they didn't stay in place.
I borrowed some of these Shockz that everyone loves and I wasn't a fan. They gave me a headache and just made me feel weird.
I've used some over-ear styles before and will use them again if I find the right model (mainly light enough, will stay in place, and can handle sweat).
I'd absolutely be willing to try the style with the hook or whatever the clips onto the back of your ear, but at this point I'm incredibly gun-shy to try new earbuds. I suppose it's either taking another chance or running in dead silence.
So what say you guys? I can't be the only person who has this problem. Nothing, I mean \*nothing\* has worked thus far. There has to be a solution out there, right?
Give me your thoughts, I'm all ears (pun somewhat intended).
Bonus rant:
Manufacturers, please just get back to the basics. Maybe I'm in the minority, but all I really care about is durability, fitting well (obviously), sound quality, and battery life. Hear me out: the latter two are already pretty good, so that's great! Durability and fitting well. That's it.
Personally, I do not care that if I tap the right earbud three times I enable DualMediaCinemaPlus mode. I do not need nor want FriendBuddyFinderPlus mode, in which you can link your music choices to social media and get likes. I will never use Advanced Noise Safety Cancellation Technology, which uses AI to filter noise except for potentially harmful sounds, in which it will pause the music and you'll have to open up the app to get it going again. I just don't care about any of that. I'd much prefer to just pop the thing in and go, all other gimmicks be damned.
Thanks for reading and thanks for your input. Happy running, friends.
