Hi all! I’m new to this whole thing, one done a ton of research on how to get a podcast up and running, but I’ve tinkered with the gear.

I’m a minimalist, so I have had the same headphones for gaming for 5 years, and the sound quality was clear, but choppy at times. I thought I’d use my AirPods—BIG mistake.

So I’m looking for a decent microphone, so t want to spend more than $150. If my pod grows and allows me to source some additional income, I’ll reinvest that money into better gear.

So here’s what I have so far: airmac book from like 2019. I have work computer (Lenovo thinkpad), and the headphones I’ve listed above.

What gear recommendations do you have?

If you have any tips on how to grow my audience, that would be awesome too! I’m a sports podcast focused on soccer scouting.
