I ultimately want to do a multi monitor setup, ideally I wanted the LG 45” 5k2k in the center and then to slowly add monitors around it.

I will preface this with OLED burn in scares me, and miniled makes me feel better but the only miniled UW I’m seeing locally is out of the current budget (over $2k for a odyssey neo g9 57”). So it seems like I’m stuck with OLED. Likely leaning towards matte/anti glare as this room gets a good bit of light. Can look into a better blackout curtain setup later but for now this is what I’m working with.

I have a Lenovo Legion 7i with a RTX 4090. I recently learned that the laptop 4090 and tower 4090 are not actually the same, so I know that eventually I’ll need to buy/build a tower to have my multi monitor setup I eventually want but that will have to come later down the road. The fun $ budget is limited currently.

For now I was still hoping to start with one large UW and let my laptop be the “2nd monitor”.

My question is can I run the LG 45” 5k2k off of my laptop? I understand I’m not going to be able to push it to the max with my laptop 4090, but will it at least be a worthwhile upgrade if I can get one for about $1500 after discounts? Used on FB marketplace I’ve found one for about $1200 as well. Don’t think I will look at the LG 39” 5k2k due to pricing alone.

A Samsung odyssey G950 for $1100 after discounts

Open to all suggestions. I have seen a lot of talk about AW 34” but I’m not super familiar with those.

Also open to suggestions for docking stations to run this setup

Boxes seem to be in fairly good shape overall. One box has a gouge, but there is clearly foam packing directly underneath (see picture).
Excited to get it built. Was not expecting it to be this heavy for some reason. I just had the pleasure of dragging it up the stairs solo 😬
