Just finished a full front-end refresh on my 2006 Toyota Tacoma including CV axles, a Rough Country lift, and new inner dust seals. Now I’m throwing an ABS light with code C0205 (Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit).

Before I start throwing parts at it, I wanted to see if anyone has run into this after a similar install. A few theories I’m weighing:

  • Harness Damage: Did I stretch the wire too far during the lift/axle install?
  • Contamination: I put a decent amount of grease around the wheel seal on the inner knuckle—could grease on the sensor or tone ring be causing a reading error?
  • The Sensor/Hub: Is it possible I damaged the sensor or the ring in the hub during the teardown?

Has anyone had luck cleaning these, or is a "Circuit" code usually a sign of a hard break in the wire? Thoughts and tips appreciated!

I recently replaced the entire front end on my 2006 Tacoma 4x4 with Rough Country 3" strut/coil assemblies, KSP 2–4" upper control arms, Moog lower control arms, and inner and outer tie rods. Before this, it had a Toytec coil lift in the front and an add-a-leaf in the rear, which is still in place along with the original rear shocks.

Now that the front end is done, the truck sits much higher up front and looks pretty off. My question is: I know the rear shocks are overdue for replacement, but will swapping those out help level things, or is the issue more likely with the leaf springs?
