is an essay about how I always get free concert upgrades a good idea? I would talk abt how I never spend more than $100 and I always negotiate to get pit or closer seats. and then I would connect it to how I love talking to people etc and I always find a way to connect to people. and then how I use this skill for good where I advocate for people who maybe cant talk and just how I help people in general through service and volunteering. I would talk abt how I was really quiet as a child so the concert negotiating skill is an example of huge growth for me. Ik this essay can make me come off as arrogant or entitled so I would try my best not to do this.

is this a bad idea, or too overused? how can I make it better?

Hi guys! My dap2 interview is tomorrow so I am uploading my writing sample from class now. it says to upload a graded piece from 11th or 12th grade. obviously the school year just started so I have no essays from 12th grade yet. the problem is that my 11th grade English class was sort of like an elective and the teacher only assigned us creative pieces. the only piece I have was a creative piece that's like this: 1) analyze the writing techniques of the book 2) write a narrative using the techniques of the book, so the piece is like 2 parts and not a standard analytical essay. I got a 97 on this. Is this okay to submit, or should I submit an actual analytical essay from 10th grade?

I want to go into finance which Wharton is clearly the best for. However, I really love UPenn in general, and I think applying to cas would increase my chance of getting in a little bit more. My stats are pretty good but I dont think they are Wharton level. Is going to CAS for finance (economics major) still a good option, and will I be able to take Wharton classes while there? I feel like going to cas will be a doorway into Wharton, because I can also apply to Wharton grad school afterward. What should I do?

My dream school is UPenn but it is obviously super hard to get into. I have a 1480 and 94 gpa at a very competitive school so I am not top percentile or anything. My extracurriculars are great. Im wondering if I would be wasting my ED by applying to Upenn when I have no chance at the end of the day, or if I should apply to Columbia ED instead (which is obviously still very hard) where I have legacy. I do not love Columbia as much but with the legacy I think I would increase my chances. What should I do?

Edit: I want to major in finance. UPenn is obviously the best for this but the networking in Columbia is also great. Also, both my parents went to Columbia undergrad so I have confirmed legacy

Like the title says! I have writers block right now and have know idea how to sum up the type of person I am in an essay. I feel like I have no unique aspect about myself as I have been pretty privileged growing up, and any draft that I write is very cliche about learning the importance of hard work etc. I have watched all the YouTube videos and written my values and all that but I still dont know how to start. I also feel like Im really behind because it is already September and the fact that I do not have a solid draft already means I won't be ready for the ED and EA deadlines on November 1.

SOS help. My interview is in 2 days and I emailed a few days ago about rescheduling because I have a very important event on the same day (mandatory). I have not gotten a response back and I have followed up 2 more times. what do I do???? I had accidentally RSVP for this interview date 2 weeks ago bc I had forgotten abt the event but now I am stuck and dont know what to do. also for this new date I had already rescheduled once before since I was out of town for the first date, so the portal does not give me the reschedule option.
