did anyone receive a paper that says next steps? ik people from other cities have gotten it but i never saw a paper like that during my interview

I think I bombed my interview 😭 On my way to the interview I was listening to Lost Boys by Pheobe Bridgers and I started crying because of the current state of the world. When I got to the interview I felt super nervous but had a great convo with the 2 girls in the waiting room before being called in. At that point I was really comfortable and completely forgot about the song. Then the first question they asked me was:

"What's your favorite song?"

I started to tear up a little and in my head I was kept telling myself "LOCK IN!" so I explained the whole car thing and talked about how Lost Boys connected to the systemic issues of our education system (I know thats not exactly what the song is about but). I then talked about how I didn't believe administration at my school or society should view people who don't do well or "go down the wrong path" as an individual failure but rather a failure of the system. They said I was empathetic for that but I know they probably felt bad..

The rest of my interview I talked about influencing policy and initiatives at my school through the lens of class and helping those who fall through the cracks and connected it to how the south is politically underinvested in and needs advocates who believe the working class here is worth fighting for (career path). We also talked about what it means to be a leader so I talked about service leadership and my experience. I feel like my personality and values really showed during the rest of it (it was all very conversational).

At the end it was basically about how comfortable I was doing ED and the schools I wanted to go to. That went okay.

I'm just really worried about the beginning because I know that was an awful way to start off 😭 did anyone else have a really awful start to their interview but moved on?

Also another thing if you're interviewing, DON'T LISTEN TO SAD MUSIC ON YOUR WAY THERE!!!

Any Posse scholars/alumni who made it through DAP 2, did you have any signs or gut feelings that you were going to get a DAP 3 invite?

I had my DAP 2 interview on August 27, and I’ve been stressing waiting for results 😭 Did your DAP 2 interviewer say anything that made you think you did really well, or did you notice anything about their reaction/behavior that stood out?

Id also like tips for Dap 3 🫰

Hey guys! I had my DAP 2 interview about a week ago, and I was wondering if anyone else received the Next Steps paper. It says we’ll get our results by October 23rd, so does that mean we could hear back anytime before then, or should we expect to hear back on the 23rd? Btw, I’m Posse Atlanta!

during my dap2, i only had 1 interviewer who wasn't partnered with any of the schools i was interested in, and i didn't get to say what i wanted/meant to say :(

my interviewer mentioned that i could email them additional information, but idk, would it be a good move to email them additional information about leadership on one of my EC's that i didn't talk about? btw i already emailed my interviewer once so idk if i'm going overboard by doing it again 😭

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if they heard back from their DAP2 interviews or know when they will find out from NYC Posse? :)

I’m gonna do dap 2 in a few weeks but I have a bad gpa (3.4 weighted, UW is worse). Should I still put a t25 school as my first choice? I’m kind of scared. From what I understand, the school can reject me right if I don’t have the write academic fit?
If anybody has any insight at all please dm me I would GREATLY appreciate your advise 🙏🙏
