Need advice on how to remove Vinyl Chrome Delete Tape

I got a 2019 300S, Ceramic Grey in February. I really want to fix up the chipping tape but not sure the best route.
I’m about 85% sure it was done professionally after market. It is really smooth, no edges or bubbles, and wrapped completely around. I think the chrome below is the original.
Things I have tried:
-heating it with a hair dryer, it wouldn’t peel off.
-scraping with plastic, only microscopic chips came off. That seems to do more harm than good.
-adhesive remove was ineffective.

Any advice to get this off myself?

Car was in good condition. Driving smooth, no issues. I brought it in for a state inspection, passed, no issue. On the drive home I notice this knocking sound, the wheel is out of alignment, hub caps are missing.

I take it back. The guys says you need a control arm. I buy the $600 control arm and an alignment. Then he goes, actually, you need new front suspension.

The knocking is getting worse and worse everyday. It’s starting to affect the transmission. I took it to a different shop and that guy said the steering rack was damaged.

I think they put the lift in the wrong spot and fucked my car up. I think they wrecked the CV axel and or the steering rack.

I started a claim with my insurance but I can’t prove the mechanic did this. I called a personal injury attorney and they told me to call my states attorney general.

At this point I’m trying to trade it in before the dealer notices how fucked it is. It’s 10 years old so I’m not dumping anymore money into repairs unless I can recoup some of the loss.

I’m so mad. My car was fine before this. Now I’m missing hours, getting scammed out of a grand by this guy, and I have to buy a new car.

What do I do? Has anyone else dealt with this?

Edit: not hub caps, lug nut caps
