Hello, I would like to move my partner into my housing lottery apartment. The lease says “The Apartment may be occupied by the tenant or tenants named above and by the immediate family of the tenant or tenants and by occupants as defined in and only in accordance with Real Property Law §235-f.”

I understand that they won’t be on the least just listed as occupant do I just notify the building/management company about an occupant and state that they will not be on the lease? I would like for them to be able to enter and exit as normal. Thanks.

Also yes, my partners income would set us over the threshold. We are in NYC
