Need Tech Support Stuck in Bios Windows will not install/boot

Bought a used pc and seller gave me login so I was able to log into account and tried to reset pc via settings(also meaning PC was working and booting fine), but it said an error occurred during reset and gave me no other message. This error continues after multiple tries.

I thus went to do a clean windows install with a thumb drive and it got to the part where I select where to download windows, but after selecting the unallocated space and beginning to download it crashed and booted back into bios.

Since then every time I try to boot off of the thumb drive nothing happens and it shoots me back into bios. Most settings I change( ex secure boot) immediately revert after a reboot but some like time set would stay after. I shorted the JBAT pins to try and reset bios and when the problem kept occurring I took out the CMOS battery and tested it and it was fine.

Nothing I do seems to have any effect in the bios as it immediately reverts and yes I have tried to boot override and have tried two separate thumb drives as well.

Is my motherboard just fried or do I need to update my bios or anything? Please let me know if you have any ideas thank you so much!

Looking for advice. Group of friends tripped together and guy who took 1g lost it and won’t stop bringing it up 6 months later.

I’m looking for advice and I’ll try to keep the story short.

Me and a group of friends (6 ish people) tripped together at a cabin and one of our friends who hadn’t tripped before took 1 gram and absolutely lost it. All was well until during the come up he suddenly started screaming that he was overdosing even though we’d told him multiple times before hand it was impossible. I tried to manage the situation and help him as much as possible but he was completely out of his mind and I was limited in my ability as I had taken over 5 grams.

He spent the whole trip flailing around yelling about how he was “overthinking” and wanted us to “google something real” as well as trying to break stuff and even tried to call the police. I spent the large majority of the trip just holding him down as he tried to scratch and bite me. He would have temporary clear moments where he’d say things like “I’m going to look so stupid in the morning” referring to how he was acting but would completely lose it seconds later. I had just accepted we’d have to wait it out as it seemed he was locked in a thought loop. He ended up laying on the floor and peeing himself, only waking up and showering after we had all come down.

I’m keeping it brief but he was freaking out so much that most of the group felt trauma for a while after. He had contacted me multiple times about how he feels it’s broken his mind and how now he’s terrified of dying and wouldn’t stop talking to me (an atheist) about how he feels like he converted from Hinduism to Christianity during/because of the trip.

I tried to be as supportive as possible and help where I could but it got to a point of ridiculousness that I just couldn’t fathom how he was here off of a 1 g trip.

Eventually it settled as he could tell I was getting impatient with the circular discussions we’d have frequently. For 4 ish months it was radio silent but just today he messaged me a flurry of messages about how shrooms really fucked him up and how he constantly overthinks and has anxiety attacks now. He says “the universe and death terrify me now”. He blames the shrooms for not being able to be feel normal again and I just genuinely don’t know what I can say at this point.

I’m trying to be sensitive to his situation but it’s gotten to a point of exhaustion as I don’t know what else I can say. I could be completely wrong but to me it just seems absurd that a single gram of shrooms could cause this much problems and rather that there was some underlying stuff that’s been exposed or is atleast contributing to it.

I would love any advice/knowledge on this situation as though I do a lot of research and have tripped many many times I am by no means an expert.

If yall want I can add a screenshot of recent messages so you can see the extent to the issue. Thanks for the input!
