Throwback to when the main reddit downvoted me for what is now a popular opinion
When people talk about toxic positivity, this is point and case for me.
Fast paced game, people can pop out of ANYWHERE with their “hero’s” they have loaded in with, Bungie then decided to make a large part of the looting experience for you to have to sit there, flick through one by one and determine what to put on/leave. This is inherently BAD game design for a game that forces you to be on the move and a “fast paced” shooter.
Now though that Bungie themselves have come out and said “My bad guys, we missed the mark on the icons”, the entire community sentiment has changed? If I had said this now, it would probably be upvoted and a “wanted” change by the community.
This is one of the major problems, the “blast havers” don’t actually know what they want or what is good, they are just shilling Bungie at any point they can, and will change with the wind simply dependant on what Bungie says. This is coming from someone who carried on playing, and still does here and there.
This sort of bullshit is what firstly detached me from really loving this game, how the fuck will ANYTHING get better, if any criticism is a “skill issue” or you’re part of the “hater brigade”??? I don’t want to HATE Marathon, I simply just cannot post criticism in the main thread without being berated for not enjoying/playing the game the main reddit intended???
