IIIT Bangalore MS by Research program without GATE admission

Hello everyone, I am in my final semester of a 4-year Bsc (Hons) Electronics, so i do have the equivalent degree, which is being said on the website, and it is also written there that for the VLSI domain GATE is not mandatory, while it is good to have, and they will have their own test and interview.

my question is, should i really try? or is this also just a gimmick, and they will only select the people with GATE scores? Because I am quite confident on the Research part of my profile, but ab mera itna bharosa nahi rha itna in sab par, and i am thinking my 1000s rs will be wasted and they will not even select me for written (happened with me in the IIT Mandi application). I can't comprehend just how much competition there might have been that i was not selected in the non-GATE category while they didn't even demand anything like an SOP or something, just the CGPA (i had 8.74).

and in India all that matters is just an entrance exam, and after you are not selected and mail for feedback, there is no reply. government dftar hai, bhai, inka admission office bhi

I saw the pinned post to show your creative talent so here I am.

It was my initial draft for my department magazine cover, although this idea was scrapped.

Question to Humanities people. please help.

I am from a science course; naam dekh ke DSE le liya Pol sci ka. I mean, syllabus bhi dekha tha theek hi lag rha tha and it was good in classes also. But I mean, I am not able to actually remember many things when i am trying to study for the exam like some particular argument of one author and their POV. I am just able to get the overall idea. is this enough for the exam? coz I have heard humanities me bohot jyada likhna hota hai and naturally in sciences we don't write much.

what kind of approach should i follow?

I Hate commerce department teachers. 😭😭

Bro, wtf, why are they so stubborn when it comes to giving marks even after doing everything.

I got 39/70 in IA + CA, bro; it is the lowest in my GE. for the past semester i had taken math as my GE, completing the minor and i took this thinking that it would be easy and it was. In the class test i got a decent 10/12. would not complain about the 6 and 5 marks of attendance in IA and CA, but bro everything other than this is just wrong.

she gave us an assignment. Literally, there were two definitions. How long an answer could a person even write to define two terms? i wrote a 2-page answer, and she still gave me only 7/12 🤡.

and now comes the real shit, and that is the CA marks. First of all, before this in math GEs, I had never done anything like a PPT or CA test and had gotten 35/35, and another student who was not shown in a single class had also gotten 30/35, but she, after taking 1 presentation and 1 CA test (which she didn't even tell the syllabus for), gave me 22/35. What do i even say?

On the other hand the pol sci DSE, which i have taken, did not do any of this BS and gave me 29/35 WITHOUT SUBMITTING ANYTHING.

My only mistake, which i would not even consider a mistake, is that i was not attending the classes much, but i did not get the attendance marks for that; there is no point in cutting marks in other sections for that.

i dont know man

4th year had so much stress so many management issues deadlines and everything but today while receiving the certificate from my supervisor in the lab i genuinely got emotional for a second

all those nights of working without knowing if anything would even come out of it all those failed attempts confusion frustration small wins everything just started flashing in front of me at once

its weird how while living through it you feel like nothing is moving but one day you suddenly look back and realize you actually built something out of all that pain and patience

made me realize maybe you really can achieve anything in life if you decide not to give up on it

Hello all, I got selected in the Uni Track 1st Round. but my university just dropped a bomb; I am so worried about it. So previously my final semester exams were scheduled from May 16 to May 28, and I thought I would be able to submit the Final Marksheet and Degree Certificate by 31st July but now they have changed the exam date and last exam is on 19th June and looking at previous records, it is highly unlikely that they will release it by 5 July (because I want least 15 days for the process of getting the degree issued after declaration of the result).

If any previous scholar has faced a similar issue, please guide me. What can i do now? I am panicking right now.
