How much water do you all use for medium-grain rice? We've started buying Royal Organic Sona Masoori medium-grain from Costco and it's just unbelievably thirsty. Last night I tried a ratio of 1000g rice to 1800g water (we have five kids) and it still just felt too dry. Anyone have any tips for getting a moister, normal texture out of this style of rice? Thanks!
We've got a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 we've been generally happy with. But for some reason the roller simply won't spin anymore.
I've tried every way I can to fix it (except the right one, I guess). I can see up into the vacuum and the belt is very clearly on the motor shaft. The motor shaft itself is turning at normal fast speed when the vacuum is on. The vacuum itself is sucking. Sometimes the roller will even do about 1/8 of a turn after the vacuum comes on, indicating that it's on the shaft. But otherwise it simply will not turn.
I can't figure out how this is possible, given that the belt is visibly on the shaft. What's stopping the roller from rolling? Help!
