Spotify Options for Android + Desktop - I'm so confused

My Spotify student subscription has recently ended, so I'm a bit out of the loop with current options for Android, and it looks like a fair bit has changed over the last couple of years...!

I currently use Spotify across Android devices and Windows Desktop, so I'd like something that can continue to work across both of these.

Ideally I'd love to still be able to use my Spotify account to access all my existing playlists, just without the ads - but it's looking like there aren't any reliable cracked versions available now.

From the look of it, more apps are leveraging YT Music as the backend source, but I assume this would require a migration of my playlists for this. I don't mind moving if it's going to be the better option now, plus there's a number of artists not available on Spotify which would be good to add back into my playlists.

I've tried:

  • Monochrome web... nice, but was very slow
  • SpotUI for Android just didn't play any songs and the UI was a bit rough
  • Lyra Desktop worked well, though a laborious process to import playlists one by one and looks like it's now no longer free

Sounds like Morphe is where the old Revanced team went, but this would require full migration, and what happens with desktop listening (just YT Music in Brave?)

Moosync looks interesting, but I haven't found much about it nor seen it recommended much.

They're probably just the tip of the iceberg for what's available now - any recommendations that might fit the bill, or advice for migrating to a new service?

Steam recommendations for RP5

With the mid-year Steam sale nearly upon us, I thought it'd be good to hear recommendations for games that you've been enjoying on the RP5 - games that are well suited to the size and capability of the device.

I'm mostly using GameNative now, but still finding it a bit hit-and-miss, especially with platformers, which has surprised me. I couldn't get Hollow Knight working well (every time I get hit the game would freeze), but have also tried Have a Nice Death, 9 Years of Shadows, and Unless recently without luck. I tried also recently Reignbreaker but it just crashes when loading the next area, like a lot of the platformers I've tired.

I've generally stuck to smaller games so far, partly due to lack of space and partly because I'm hoping they're more likely to work.

Some of my recommendations include, and that can be cheap to pick up:

  • Ring of Pain
  • Ballionaire
  • Nice Day for Fishing
  • Golf Club Nostalgia
  • Hyper Light Drifter
  • Isles of Sea and Sky
  • Felix the Reaper
  • Discounty
  • Pip My Dice
  • Rhythm Fighter

stremio:///detail/ links no long opening in the app

I've been using some browser extensions that open direct links to movies and tv shows in Stremio via the stremio:///detail/ link, e.g. stremio:///detail/movie/tt12042730/tt12042730 - but these don't seem to be working any more after the last windows app update.

Does anyone know if the URL format might have been changed, or is this a bug that will hopefully be resolved? Thanks!

Recs for split system air con installers?

I'm looking to get a 2.5kw split system air con installed and struggling to find an installer I'm comfortable committing to - the few I've spoken to so far have either come up with some questionable reviews or been flaky getting the quotes to me, which makes me sceptical about the installation quality and after-sales support.

It's a brick apartment, east-side - not the most straight-forward installation, but not hugely complicated either.

I'd just like to find a company where I won't get the run around getting a quote and I can feel confident they won't botch the installation - recommendations welcome, please (or even who to avoid)!
