I (25F), have been ghosted by (26M), and am wanting to reach out to him

I (25F), had been seeing someone (26M) for the past few weeks. Our relationship started very strong very quickly. We had met each other twice (once at a coffee shop, and once at a mutual friend’s party), before he found my instagram after the party and messaged me. Within a few days of texting, he asked to take me out to dinner. Two days later, we met up for dinner at a nice restaurant, went for a drink after, then went back to his house afterwards.

It was a fantastic date in my opinion, and we got along like we had already knew each other for a long time. After this date, we proceeded to go on multiple dates (to the gym, for coffee, movies, arcades, dinner again, and just hanging out at his house etc), and I was really starting to like him. During this time we were seeing each other, he would text me back instantly (or within a reasonable time period) and was always sending engaging text messages. We went back and forth between us on who would organise/plan the dates. After the last time I visited him at his house, and stayed the night, he dropped me home in the morning like usual, gave a kiss goodbye, and went about our days. This was not the first time we were intimate/ stayed the night.

After this, he went radio silent, he did not message me all day, I initiated some conversation to check in, and he would just open them, like them, and not respond. He left me on delivered for about a day, before messaging me back being “how did your night end up last night”. Me being excited, I responded back, we had a brief conversation, and then he proceeeded to just like my final message, and continue to not respond. It has been a few days since I have heard from him. I thought we were having a great time, we were compatible, and I could see myself really liking this person. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I am thinking of getting back in contact with him to double check (however I am worried this may come off as desperate), what is an appropriate thing I can say to him?
