Just Finished CS 1 and wanted to share my thoughts
So I just finished CS1 and wanted to give my thoughts on it. First and foremost, I genuinely loved the ending. I love a good cliff hanger, it reminded me sorta like FC in that "wait, holy shit what is happening?" Definitely made me look forward to CS2. I know a lot of people were mixed on CS1 and to be honest I think some of it could have been done better. For example Crowe really getting close to Rean would have been a better payoff, pushing Alisa as the love interest even though she is just fine as a character. Gaius could have been deleted from the game and nothing would have changed, really. The other characters I genuinely love, Fie, Emma, Laura, Elliot, Jusis and Machias all had such good dynamics and banter with each other. It was a slower story but this is Trails and slow can be good. FC was super slow but the last chapter was nuts. Could there have been things done better of course, is this the best in the series, no that still goes to Zero for me but it is super solid. I really think though because so much world building about Erebonia was done in Azure and I played it right after it helped me enjoy the game more then I would have. Just wanted to share my thoughts.
