Simulation games like Kerbal Space Program in terms of gameplay

Not necessarily a space flight game, just looking for simulation games where you can roleplay a scientist and conduct your own experiments within a sandbox. I like KSP’s ability to sort of let you try what works, and develop your own methods for playing the game as opposed to a linear level based format. It just sort of “lets you loose” to do whatever you want however you want and that has honestly always been the appeal of the game for me. Any games kinda like that?

Best VST synth for somebody looking to do experimental music(ambient, idm, noise, Hyperpop, etc)

Was inspired to look for great software synths I can use for a variety of applications. I work within a bunch of different genres. The more things I can do with it the better, as I’m looking to do a lot of different genres if I can.

What inspired me initially is a project I’m planning on doing. An SCP-esque anthology series where each entry is supposed to be a unique entity or phenomenon, complete with its own soundtrack. I intend for each to touch upon a different type of horror, as such each song will touch upon horror in its own unique way across a variety of genres. If you guys know of a synth that might help me do this, feel free to let me know!

Looking for great roguelites with runs under 30 minutes

I love roguelites, like I REALLY do, but I’m looking for ones where a fully completed run is under 30 minutes, will still maintaining the replayability and “unlock-hunting” of games like Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, and Slay the Spire.

Any recs are welcome, thank u!

VST(Free or paid) that I can use to stretch the absolute LIMIT of what I can do with a synth

I’m looking for one sort of “sound playground” I can use for a lot of my musical projects. All experimental in nature, a lot of genre hopping like Hyperpop, IDM, ambient, noise, and vaporwave.

They can be free or otherwise, at this rate I will take anything so long as I can stretch it to its absolute limit and do tons of crazy stuff

Looking for :

- Loot-heavy games like Destiny
- RPGs with tons of replayability, builds, customization, and secrets to discover like BG3, The Soulsborne franchise, and Skyrim
- Immersive sims with a reactive and unique world where every decision you make has an impact like Cruelty Squad or Dishonored
- First/third person tycoon/business management games with satisfying progression like Schedule I
- roguelites/dungeon crawlers/ run based games with crazy amounts of build combos and archetypes to play, as well as boat loads of unlocks and secrets
- exploration games with tons of little things to find like Yume Nikki or Noita

Anything along those lines I will take into account!

I'm on the lookout for games with tons of cool and rewarding secrets. Whether that's areas, items, encounters, or anything along those lines, so long as it incentivizes in-depth exploration I shall try it. Things I feel that fit this are:

- Cruelty Squad
- Sven Coop's Secret City
- myhouse.wad
- Dishonored 1 and 2
- Hitman 3
- The Souls series
- Skyrim
- Noita

Ok so, this is my like gajillionth time making this post because i dont thing you can edit the title so, here's my final criteria for an RPG to sink a ton of time into that im looking for. As long as it hits these, i shall play it!

- One I can sink a bunch of playthroughs into, through diverse and satisfying varieties of builds/playstyles. Not looking for a "this is the best build", looking for one where I can use a satisfying amount of build variety where every individual choice or playstyle is at the very least viable to beat the game with. Bonus points if there are viable hybrid builds and crazy combos between them

- A great collection of customization options, different types of outfits with different vibes and philosophies I can mix and match to represent a character I want to play as, whether that be an (merchant, soldier, assassin) or something specific.

- Quests are ok but I should be able to progress the game without doing quests at all, with exploring the game world being the best way to level up. Also big bonus if there are secret encounters.

- Big plus if there is a defined end-point or goal/goals for the playthrough. If I have to set them it's ok, but I'm just trying to find a good balance between direction and freedom of choice.

Anything that fits within these categories works! I've played all the souls-games(incl. Elden Ring), the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series', and Cyberpunk 2077. Not a big fan of RPGs where there's tons of stuff on your taskbar that you have to activate with random buttons. The more straightforward the better, but honestly if it's GOOD enough i will try it at least once

I’m very curious as to a specific genre of game that I have yet to find a lot of, that I’ve been looking for since I was a kid. What games can you hop into and make your own little experiments, whatever they may be, almost as if you were a scientist? The game I’ve found that best encompasses this is People Playground but I’m curious about others
