Why am I lagging so much??

Trying to see what is causing it but just can't find anything. Changed some heavy pipez to integrated dynamics but that didn't do much.

The mycelial generator is underrated

A while ago I decided to up my power production and decided on making a working mycelial reactor as I didn't want to deal with Mekanism's reactors as making chemicals is tedious.

And wow, at first I thought that it'd be overwhelming as I had to power 16 generators but it actually ended up being so fun. I had so many unique ideas I used for each (could've realsitcally used neural networks for most but I wanted to be creative), like using an auto clicker with a shovel to harvest snowballs. I interacted with so many mods to get each of the 16 reactors working and yeah, it worked, really well.

In fact, the mycelial reactor has done me so well that I've pretty much never had any power issues (except for the mekanism antimatter machine). And now that I've gotten the atm star, I just straight up don't need any better power sources

Anyone else disappointed that the (MI) nano quantum armor doesn't have the same utility as the AE2 armor?

I mean for being the end game best armor in the game it's just worse than the AE2 armor as that pretty much makes you invincible with echants and apotheosis.

Like the nano quantum armor's only real use would be to tank the chaos guardian's beam but it can't even do that. It's just disappointing for how hard it is to get.

Also, nano quantum is just a funny name as both things just mean really small

How easy is getting a job once you've already worked there?

Looking for another job but they are barely ever popping up, and are bad shifts, so now I'm scared that if I find a good one I just won't get the role despite me having worked at Sainsbury's before. Anyone know if it's guaranteed or highly likely?

All the mods 10 - my world and thoughts

Wow, just wow. Never in my life have I had so much fun with a modpack. I have spent so so many hours on this game, days on end, it has just been so great.

It's quite funny as when I began this modpack months I felt overwhelmed and lost with all the quest book questlines so I would log in every few months to just go exploring around for a few hours with my incredibly fast roller skates, pretty much just procrastinating. I'll always remember trying to get compressed iron armor pieces as I had no way or replisinishing the one I was wearing (or at least that I knew of).

Then a few weeks ago I decided to give it a proper try, I was mainly aiming for minecolony progress as it seemed fun. From those months ago I had put my supply ship on the water (duh!) and had my town hall somewhere in the water too. For some reason I had the idea of making my colony ontop of the water but right next to the land. I geniunely don't know why I thought about doing this, probrably cause I got confused with the supply ship as I thought that that was my town hall (what I thought was the base of operations).

Now, building a colony on water is not the worst thing in the world but my god do you need a lot of dirt. So I had my first goal: get a fuck ton of dirt. Thus I headed towards mystical agriculture which I was vaguely familiar with.

Getting dirt seeds is evidently easy, but speeding up their production, not so much. As I did not know about simulated hydroponic beds I chose to go with the growth accelerators from MA which got expensive very quickly as I needed a lot of diamonds for them. So then I made diamond seems and I began progressing, quite slowly, adding a new dirt seed farmland with up to imperium accelerators one by one.

But my dirt supply was now massive (and after adding a few wood seeds) I could finally supply my colony to be built. Now during this time my colonists literally had no building so a lot of them died fom going to my boat to the town hall in the water due to the drowned. In fact my first ever builder died, rip William. But then my goat Cassandra took over, whom I have literally built 80% of my colony with.

With my colony now starting I decided that I wanted the best enchantments (I knew that the gear would be a bit harder to get) so I got into apothic enchanting. First I needed a super strong spawner setup but for that I need mob conveyor belts which I had to go to the undergarden for cause I couldn't find any slime balls. I also needed loads of ghast tears which had my setting up a creeper model to get catalyst glands. I did setup more models as well for other resources like blaze rods and redstone, I quickly became a fan of that mod.

Then I found out that I had to kill the warden to get its tendril, great. I had seen a meme a few months back about a guy fighting the warden with iron golems so I thought I'd do the same thing and while scary, it did work, I got myself a few tendrils allowing me the make sculk touched deepshelves. Finally, I went to the end to get some dragon's breath but didn't want to beat it yet so I just teleported back.

With that, I made fully maxed out vibranium gear, letting me storm the dungeon in the other for unobtanium templates.

It was around here were I realised that I would need to set up a proper storage system, so I looked at the quest tree and saw something about drawers but it seemed like it'd take too much space, I wanted something compact. So I got into AE2. At first I wasn't a big fan as stuff like chargers took ages but my god, it got good quickly, really good. It was pretty much all I wanted, a way to store all my loads of items in a few compact blocks.

So I got Cassandra to build a residence where I would then dig a whole deep underground for me to set up my base. It was around this time that I decided to get the most powerful power generator I could think of making: the x64 netherstar generator. Of course, I would need nether stars for this, so I decided to do this through MA which ended up being too slow (at this stage in the game) so I just made a wither model. Now I had loads of power but I needed a constant supply of prediction matrices, so I automated that with MA production now in my base.

I also got into evilcraft to make brooms which let me fly very very quickly. They are lowkey underrated. Alongside this, I was trying to make a mimic model but of course, they were very rare. I also did not know about box of eternal closure tech which would've helped me a lot.

I now wanted 256M storages from ae2 so I setup stuff for that but was limited by silicon production, and MA was too slow, so I went for bees (I had also heard that insanium production was easier through them so aimed for that too). It took me a good while to get best gene bees set up but once I did, wow. I got so many diamonds, prosperity shards, insanium and silicon. Though not quite enough. I had also now expanded my apothic spawner setup to now give me loads of iron gold and redstone (I have millions from it now). I also began producing matter balls from my infinity cobblestone cell as I aimed for the quantum armor now.

But to produce singularities effectively, I needed lava, a lot of lava. So I embarked on making the infinity lava cell, which had be getting the 3 atm alloy ingots. The ars noveau and dissolution chamber ones were pretty easy but my god was the powah one a pain. I first needed loads of blaze crystals which I had to automate with modular routers (not too bad) but it took ages, as I also had to get nitro crystals for strong enough energizing rods, which took a while. Eventually though, I got the infinity lava cell, letting me produce singularities easily and I got the incredible ae2 quantum armor. I finally got proper creative flight (I actually got it before with supremium armor but that wasn't strong enough for my needs).

After all that I decided that I wanted a stronger power source, I couldn't be bothered with any reactors so I just went for the mycelial reactor, and wow, just wow. What a fun challenge that was. Automating all 16 mini reactors was so fun as I got to be so creative with how I wanted to do each. I used harvesting pylons, MA, apothic spawners, models, just dire things clicker for snowballs, bees and ofcourse the industrial foregoing machines to produce pink slime (and balls), and liquid meat.

Finally, I saw the aurora borealis and was extremely satisfied. Though I had the set up break a few times due to minor mistakes. The first time it happened I actually completely ran out of power so when I went to get my x64 netherstar generator from my ae2 storage system I realised that I was fucked. Now fortunately I had a thermo generator from my ether gas setup in the nether so I got that and slowly powered my system back up, letting the machines to keep up the 16 generators work again,

I then took a break and when I came back I decided to make a proper section for all my industrial productions. Hence I used my infinity drill to make a huge area were I built a huge ME controller setup to get the max amount of channels. Ofcourse, I wouldn't neeed 21k channels but I just thought it looked really cool, so after a headache I got that running and began moving my ae2 stuff down there.

During all of this I had also been progressing minecolonies but it was just so slow and painful with the constant supplying of materials but I throughly enjoyed seeing my colony come together. Someone also told me about some tech with the crystal staff from roots which has been INCREDIBLE, that thing makes my workers go so much faster. It's pretty much essential to minecolonies imo

It was with this that I finally built my quantum computer and got into pattern providers which saved me SO much time. I don't know why I hadn't done it before but I could easily just request stuff like omega upgrades instead of painfully crafting them as I did before.

I probrably had some other goals I set and achieved but to not make this too long (which it already is) I decided to go for the atm star, automating it as much as I could.

Now some of the items were very easy to get, like the 28 alloy blocks and creative essence but my god were some of them a pain like the nexium emitter and dragon soul. Cause I was essentially rushing through slow mods like MI and occultism. Especially occultism, how I loathe that mod for making me build so many stupid ritual setups and making the clean up so fucking tedious.

I went into detail about MI in another post but it truly has fluctuated between one of the worst and best mods from the packs so many times, now I just appreciate it.

I got to explore and enjoy many mods in the progress. The automation of each was very enjoyable too, like with immersive engineering were the base automation sucks but working around it was fun (i.e. automated droppers), or voidember fuel from just dire things. Automating the crystal staff was also enjoyable as I wasn't sure it would be possible but it turns out that the just dire things clickers are just op.

And now, I have finally gotten the ATM star. Of course, I am far from over (I believe), I have so much minecolonies to do and an infinity drill to charge (alongside atm star automation and exploring all the mods (™)).

But wow, this modpack has just been so fun and enjoyable, though it's quite funny I thought it would be a bit of everything when it mostly ended up being automation, which I love anyways.

How do I fully charge the infinity items?

So I'm at the endgame of atm10 now, I got my first star and will soon be fully automating it. My first item was the creative energy cell from AE2 which might have not been the brightest idea as its output is restricted by how fast the flux accesors can output.

But now I want to charge the integer limit infinity drill, which from the looks of things would take years with my current setup. I've heard that flux networks is the way but that is limited by the rate of which I can transfer energy into the flux network.

Is there any block or thing that transfers energy into the flux network without limit? Maybe the mekanism creative energy block?

Funny how power has been non issue for me, it's (especially now) power transfer

Server and client specs?

So I've had the idea of starting an ATM10 server with my friends for a while now and would like to know what specs the server and client have to have (I will likely be buying one as I don't want to have my computer running 24/7).

There isn't much info online other than just the standard singleplayer specs but as I understand it the server does most of the work so the client shouldn't really need high specs

Modern industralization: the worst best mod of the modpacks

So a week ago I decided to embark on my jounrey to finally get the ATM star (whose production I wished to automate) and in the nexium emitter I saw that I had to make a large advanced pump, introducing me to modern industralization.

The recipe to make it was convoluted to say the least and while initially daunting I realised I could just use pattern providers (the best thing in the pack), I just needed the machines.

By this point I got used to rushing through mods I hadn't touched with all my endgame resources but modern industralization forces you through the ages progression which I found frustrating, especially with the terribly slow coke production from the coke oven. I realised I needed a kanthal tier EBF. And my god was it a pain to get through, building machine after machine to then make another machine to then make another to then produce the resources I needed and wow was it buggy. So many times my machines got stuck (and still do). And I know now that you're meant to have a machine for each recipe, but with the amount of recipes I needed and my rushing through it, I was not doing that.

Eventually I got the advanced large pump but at this point things had turned around a bit, I had fixed a lot of the issues with my machines and I was now beginning to like seeing them all work towards something I needed.

And then I learned about processing arrays. I initially thought I'd never get to that point and thought that it would be some kind of computer which needed code like super factory manager but it was far from that. What I found myself with was a device to allowed me to skip making any multiblock structures and increase my production rate of any of my machines immensely. Ofcourse, I now needed multiblock structure for each, but since they were always the same I didn't care. Andy god it got good, really good. Building each machine's processor array became incredibly rewarding as my production rates greatly increased and I just couldn't stop, I had no more need for modern industralization but it was just so satisfying.

It got to the point were even though I had easily collected more blaze burners than I'd ever need, I decided to automate quad uranium fuel rods anyways.

After that I chose to go for the quantum upgrade to max out my machines (I didn't really need the armor or the sword as my gear was good enough). And I did it, despite some painful issues I can now produce quantum upgrades almost without issue.

Maybe I would've said that that's done, that I no longer need to do anything with modern industralization, that there wasn't even a point in getting the quantum upgrade to max out my machines, but I read a reddit post a few days ago saying that logic processor production could be done a lot faster through MI, which is really important to me as I want to generate 256M storages as fast as possible.

So I made the 3 overdrived one recipe only machines for it and they are no joke at all, helping my logic processor production massively.

While I haven't found another need for a dedicated MI machine to improve the production rate of a specific thing, I am sure I will need it soon enough.

Modern industralization, in my opinion is one of the most buggy and annoying mods to deal with but once you get things working, it becomes incredibly satisfying.

Atm10 Dragon Familiar Automation?

So as I aim to automate the base star recipe as much as possible (for the 18 blocks) I now ask myself. how can I automate dragon familiar catcher or spawn egg.

Ive tried loads of stuff, but the devs seem to have removed every method focing you to interact more with the dumb occultism mod.

My only idea is to directly put automations into the ritual, but I hate dealing with occultism so I'd just rather not.

Why isn't this pushing the same pattern?

Does the crafting lock fully override it? Is there no way around this? If I unlock it, it often gets stuck as the pattern provides pushes multiple items in that shouldn't be together. And no I am not going to be a machine for every single item, it's too late for that now

Breaking update?

Just realised I have been playing on atm10 4.10 this whole time lmfao

Now I want to update to get modular bees but I'm afraid that my crafting patterns will break, will this happen?

How to get flowering/azalea leaves?

So minecolonies annoyingly does not have a way of automating azalea (flowering) leaf production and the only way I appear to be able to do it in atm10 is through lumber bees.

So I got myself some lumber bees and gave them an (flowering) azalea, nothing. Then I saw that they pollinate logs so I gave them oak logs since those are what azalea trees are composed of. They then started just producing oak logs.

How do I get them to produce azalea leaves/ flowering leaves? The JEI shows that they can do it, but how??

This has to be top 3 modpacks OAT (ATM 10)

Holy shit I haven't been this addicted to a game in years. Funny thing is that I began my world but just aimlessly exploring around, trying to find good loot (which I did) but didn't really give it a proper try.

Then a few weeks ago I did, I started with Minecolonies but wanted my civilization on water so quickly ran into the problem of needing loads of dirt. So then I began a wild progression tree to getting fast growing dirt seeds which I eventually did and wow, it just has been so fun.

Of course, I'm far past that point now but it's that cycle of getting a bit project idea and having to do many small things to build up to it which I love. Like my last project was beginning my underground industrial factory so for that I needed a lot of steel sheetplate, which then required me to create all sorts of automations for it (and a coal farm).

Gotta say as well, Minecolonies has been carrying this hard too, the simple idea of just building my own civilization is incredible and despite being painfully slows, just feels so satisfying.

Not sure if I'm ready for the atm star grind cause learning each tech mod is painful but I feel like I'll eventually get there

Geniunely, what am I doing wrong here?

I copied this from this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_XG-N3TYJc&t=1094s

Literally just did the same setup now on the opposite side (for blue) and for some stupid reason I am getting "controller conflict"

I literally do not understand why at all, this shit is way too complicated for a just a mod

Help with job hours

So I applied for a job a few days ago that only stated the number of hours but didn't say the times. I got an interview quickly as I have worked at Sainsbury's before but am now worried it might be a nightshift job as the times for the interview were like 8/9/10 pm. Would it be worth ringing them and asking them about this? Cause I know I won't be doing a nightshift role
