A lil over a year of growth
The first pic was my hair in Jan 2025, yet be aware that I think a bit after those months, I was cutting it down and letting it grow constantly. Until probably June or May I let it grow and just did a taper fade on the sides, never touching the top (except dead ends).
Routine:
Since I have 3c-4a hair, all I do is water, and naturally I get curly, but I use curl cream or leave-in to just moisturize/give it some flair. Then I use gel to take the formed curls from the water and apply it while finger coiling to lock it in, and boom! 😘 I'm going to start using oil.
My Step-by-Step Recipe:
1. Water: Get it soaking wet. Adds the weight and baseline hydration.
2. Curl Cream: Rake it through evenly. Defines the clumps and adds softness.
3. Detail: Finger coil the front with your hold product (gently!). Sets the style where you want extra definition.
4. The Oil: Rub a few drops in your hands and gently scrunch it in or pat it over the top once you're done styling. Seals everything in so your hair stays shiny and doesn't dry out fast.
