"Need help troubleshooting a dead G502 X plus Wireless motherboard"

Hi everyone,

I'm troubleshooting a Logitech G502 X Wireless motherboard that became completely unresponsive after disassembly and

reassembly.

Symptoms

The mouse is completely dead:

No LED activity

No power-on response

No USB receiver detection

No signs of life

Troubleshooting Already Performed

I have another fully functional G502 X Wireless available for comparison.

I swapped components between the two mice and confirmed the following parts are good:

Battery

Switch board

Top shell assembly

Receiver/dongle

When I install a known-good motherboard into the same mouse, everything works normally.

Therefore, the issue is isolated to the original motherboard.

Visual Inspection

The motherboard appears normal.

I found:

No burn marks

No corrosion

No missing components

No cracked solder joints

No visible PCB damage

Electrical Checks Planned

Using a digital multimeter, I plan to check:

Resistance between battery positive and GND

L2 and L3 power rails

Q9, Q11, and Q30 power section voltages

nRF52833 MCU power supply

HERO sensor power supply

Questions

Has anyone seen a completely dead G502 X Wireless motherboard with no visible damage?

Are there any common failure points in the power circuit of this mouse?

Would you first suspect:

A failed MOSFET?

A voltage regulator issue?

A protection circuit failure?

A damaged nRF52833 MCU?

Any advice on common failure points or recommended probe locations would be greatly appreciated.

Attached are close-up photos of the motherboard and power section for reference.

Thanks!
