This is a minor complaint, in the grand scheme of things. But I really hate how it's become trendy to call recipes "marry me": Marry Me Pasta, Marry Me Chicken, Marry Me Salmon, Marry Me Pot Roast, etc etc

Why can't I enjoy good food without getting married!?!??

Title. I've been thinking about this as I get older (I'm 37). My relationship with my parents used to be quite bad, and when I could, I moved several states away. My relationship has moved to a sort of...cautious okay-ness with them now that I've been gone about 10 years. I'm at a point in my career where I may need to move even further away to continue to grow and be successful, but obviously my parents are just going to keep aging. They're healthy now (in their mid-60s) but won't be forever.

The thing is, I'm childfree because I don't want to take care of anybody! I love doing my own thing and being independent to a fault. I don't have a nurturing/caretaker bone in my body. That, combined with the common bingo where people ask who will take care of you if you don't have kids has me wondering...What are your plans or what have you already done for your aging parents? Do you feel like your childfree identity influenced your decision?

Not looking for advice (my situation has complexities not included here), just curious about your experiences and choices.
