I just got put into the (slow) security lane that feeds into the lane for passengers who need assistance. The amount of people miraculously cured at that point that then get up and are able to walk through security and to their gate is astounding.

Looking for advice on whether to keep my current car or change before depreciation gets worse.

Current car:

• 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro 77 kWh, 204 bhp
• 66,437 km
• Bought second hand last year
• Nearly paid off, just a few grand left on a Credit Union loan
• A few minor issues, but overall it serves me well

My situation:

• Licence just over 2 years, so I’m a bit reluctant to buy brand new
• I drive around 12,000 km a year
• Mostly Dublin driving, with a few Cork trips each year
• I want to stay electric and keep a 77 kWh or similar battery

Rough values I’ve been given:

• Private sale: €21,000 to €23,000
• Trade-in: €18,500 to €20,500

Question:

I don’t really need to change, but I’m worried about depreciation. Would it make sense to upgrade now, either new or second hand, or am I better off keeping the ID.4 and not worrying too much?

• When I did work in big tech there was loads of recruiters.. must have been hundreds in Google, Amazon etc.
• Some recruiters even had assistants working with them to schedule candidates for interviewers etc.

Question: Presumably a lot of recruiters were/are impacted with layoffs but what are the rest doing all day? Their seems to be very little roles open and noone is switching jobs. Presumably there are still a lot of recruiters in these companies (judging anecdotally from Linkedin there seems to be.)
