Does she like me?
I’m a teacher, I work with another teacher very closely for part of the year on a school production. Ever since I met her I’ve been infatuated. She’s so smart, funny, and absolutely beautiful.
I have had a difficult time figuring out her sexuality but I know she’s definitely single. We are both female!
I have strong feelings for her and during our last production I thought those feelings might be reciprocated. I’ve also been lucky enough to chaperone a few field trips with her.
When I first thought she may be interested it was after a Halloween party we ran into each other at in NYC. I was dressed as Animal (muppet) with a friend, a week later we found ourselves back in NYC for a field trip. We sat next to each other on the train reading, elbows touching. We went to the Disney store and on a wall of pins she pointed to the Animal pin and said “I like this one” and I responded with “that’s me!” and she laughed. A few more weeks pass by and we went to the city with another coworker to see a play. We talked about dating coworkers and we both agreed we would date another coworker, and had no problem with “shitting where we eat”. We sat alone on the train ride back and talked the whole time. She complimented me and said she sees me as a calm and kind person. I didn’t see her for awhile after this. But she texted me happy new year at 12:07 1/1. I didn’t expect this at all. We don’t text.
She has also looked for me in a crowd of 300 people and sat next to me at these large meetings. She left her fitness at an event to come talk to me, and asked me numerous times to let her know if I needed help on our spring musical, a show she doesn’t typically work on.
She gifted me a very beautiful gold paintbrush necklace as a show closing gift. She also ordered a card from out of the country that embodied all of my interests. I gave her a thank you card with an Emily Dickinson card in return with a red wax seal. Hope that felt romantic.
Do you think she’s just being nice? I’m unsure of her sexuality but she didn’t make a joke about her mom saying “if you’re a lesbian, just don’t be the boy one” idk
