CvnStream: an HTTP stream addon for Stremio

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a Stremio addon I have been working on called CvnStream. It works in a way that is somewhat similar to Cloudstream: it searches through the providers selected by the user and tries to return playable HTTP stream links inside Stremio's own interface.

Before installing, the addon opens a simple configure page where you can choose the providers that match your language and preferences. No provider is selected by default, so at least one provider must be selected before installation. You can enable up to 10 providers at the same time.

It can be useful for users who do not want to use torrent addons or debrid services, or who simply cannot use them in their setup.

Quick notes:

- The addon does not host any content; it only searches for stream links through the selected providers.
- Configuration is required; an install link without selected providers will not return stream results.
- It is not a catalog addon. It returns stream results from the existing Stremio content pages.
- Since it works through search, incorrect matches may occasionally happen. The result selection has been optimized as much as possible to reduce that.
- Some providers may occasionally return links that do not play correctly. Selecting a few different providers is recommended.

INFO : Since stream requests are handled server-side rather than client-side, they can be blocked more quickly by websites. I’m currently looking into this issue. Thank you to everyone who has shown interest.

Hope it is useful. Feedback is welcome.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an update about Embed Subfilter, the addon I previously developed using the SubDetect API. First of all, I would like to thank the SubDetect API developer for the original idea and for providing the API.

Over time, I felt that we were not finding enough streams with embedded subtitles. Because of that, I decided to remove the integration with the SubDetect API and handle subtitle scanning on my own. I have added new improvements to the addon in that direction.

With this update, the addon can now find more streams that include embedded subtitles. It also supports multiple upstream links, so you can add links from services such as Torrentio or other stream providers.
(Note: Debridio streams are currently not stable, so it is recommended not to use them.)

For anyone who has not used the addon before or had trouble setting it up: simply copy your link from Torrentio or another stream service and paste it into the Upstream URL field on the config page.

You can find the previous related post here.

NOTE : Please note that the old addon has now been shut down.

* Based on my tests, embedded subtitles generally do not appear on the web version. I recommend using it through the app instead.

I would be happy to hear your feedback. I hope this update makes the addon more useful for everyone.
