iiminor9/V chord?
It's really cool sounding. An example in C major would be Dminor9 with a G in the bass.

I am in high school and I am interested in political science as a course I will take in the future when I'm in college. My grandparents talked to me about it and they say that it is a good pre-law degree. I am skeptical about the law part, and if I change my mind, I might do it all, but what are yalls thoughts on political science as a course by itself? I find it interesting and I can guess that with it, I can be able to inspire other people in politics. (which, I know, is not usually the part of political science that will help the most with correlating to law)
I am looking to buy a pair for mixing and producing. I am conflicted because some music stores don't feature much tech-related stuff and focus on instruments, but on the other hand, some tech stores don't specialize in pro-audio headphones.
I really want to do stuff like Cliff Burton on For Whom The Bell Tolls but the bend just is so hard to do!! I wonder if I need to switch to a different gauge (and if so, what gauge is good) or maybe I have poor technique.
Here's the thing. A lot of my friends would probably think of guitar as my main instrument, and bass would probably not be on their mind at all, but that's just because it's the instrument they see me play the most, but I am currently about halfway through the process of becoming a full time bass player and making bass my main instrument. When I was new to playing bass (and was a pretty established guitar player) I learned it just so I could fill in as a bassist for bands in my school who needed it (because there is a WILD bass player shortage out there). But lately, I've been looking to become an actual established bassist because I just love the nature of the instrument. Some would say that if you're into having the spotlight, or being present on stage, then bass is not for you, but I would beg to differ! I want to be a bass player that can take their place onstage and be just as present as the guitar players or even the frontman! (not really though haha)
So yeah, I just wanted to share my recent bass playing development. I really love bass guitar.
my budget is around ~300 usd and i just want something simple but has a little bit of charm. i'm currently looking at this aria pro ii dmb-206 because it's within my budget and it has a look and tone that really is very enticing to me. it would be great to know about other options!
edit: i'd prefer if it didn't have active pickups/a preamp. i would rather have a simple bass with simple controls.
edit 2: i am now also looking at an ibanez tmb30 short scale! i think it matches the "charm" description and i wouldn't mind a smaller bass.
