With the upcoming price increase, thinking of downgrading plans.....

....to the Residential 100Mbps plan from the 200Mbps plan. Has anyone done this downgrade, and if so, was there a noticeable impact? Thx.

EDIT: 2 person household, streaming TV, and general internet surfing. No gaming.

Changes to home characteristics without your knowledge

Long time USAA member. Couple of things making me consider leaving USAA.

  1. Have always received paper copies of insurance policies. My fault, but didn't get a homeowner's renewal policy this go round. Start date in May. Credit card had a jump in premium, went online and....
  2. Random home characteristic changed without my knowledge. A lower quality item now on the policy, along with a jump in premiums. I expect when I call on Monday, they will say they have no idea how it changed, but we'll change it, and by the way, your premium will go up further.

Has anyone else experienced this recently?

Signed,

Pissed off USAA member.

EDIT: The change was to Kitchen Counters. After speaking with a rep this morning, there was no clear answer why it was downgraded or who/what downgraded it. The answer was maybe a policy lapse to renewal, to which I countered that we haven't done anything different in 20 years. As I expected, the premium went up, albeit minimally, but still.... This vagueness is what makes me angry. Thanks for all the feedback.
