Does anyone knows why is this happening ?
My 3.5-year-old Rottweiler has started developing small patches of white hairs. The majority are on the back of his neck, but he also has a small patch on his tail, one on an ear, one on his forehead, and one on a leg. The white hairs appeared gradually and are scattered around his body rather than concentrated in one area.
I think all started when we moved to a new house plus we had staphylococcus on his one leg and we treated it...the hair there are more blonde than white. Our vet says is common to rotties
He has no itching, redness, hair loss, skin irritation, or other symptoms. His energy levels, appetite, and overall health seem completely normal.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their dog? Is this usually just normal graying/genetics, or could it indicate an underlying health issue even without other symptoms? Any experiences or advice would be appreciated.
