House Purchase Fees - Cost Split
I'm purchasing a house with my partner (not married) and our total costs for stamp duty, solicitor, etc. is roughly £20k.
I am contributing £240k with my partner contributing £85k. We will have a deed of trust in place to protect our deposits and mortgage payments will be split equally.
Keen to hear from others who have purchased a house with unequal deposits. Did you each pay a proportion of the costs relative to the size of the deposits?
e.g., £15k for me and £5k for my partner?

I have been experiencing lower back pain for around five years. I wake up with stiffness, which usually eases with movement and stretching. The pain usually occurs in the general area of my SI joints, alternating between each side. It manifests as low-level ache (2-3/10) with occasional stabbing pains during movement such as bending down (4-5/10) and occasional sciatic tingling in either leg or buttock.
I play a lot of golf (I started playing around the time the back pain first occurred) and used to be a very frequent runner (circa 10-15 miles weekly).
My doctor recently ordered a blood test and X-Rays to check for Ankylosing Spondilitis. My blood test was negative for the relevant allele, and my X-Rays showed no signs of sacroliilitis.
They said the X-rays showed signs of secondary degenerative changes at L4-L5. My doctor informed me that this is consistent with arthritis; they have ordered more blood tests "to check for a couple of other possibilities" and have referred me to a muscular skeletal specialist, but I'm keen to understand more in the meantime.
The Xray results are below (apologies I don't have the images). I don't really understand the arthritis diagnosis, is this genetic or is it possible I have damaged the L4-L5 area due to repetitive stress from golf?

XR Lumbar spine
Clinical indication
History: Persistant lumber back pain with AM stiffness.
Question: Any evidence of sacroilitis in keeping with ankylosing
spondylitis?
Report XR Lumbar spine
Patient standing / weight bearing
The vertebral bodies are normal in height and alignment. There is
intervertebral disc space narrowing at L4-L5, the remaining
intervertebral disc spaces are preserved. Osteophytic lipping of the
vertebral body margins and increased sclerosis of the endplates at
L4-L5 in keeping with secondary degenerative change. Sacroiliac
joints appear preserved.
Feel like I’m getting very inside on the way back and flat at the top with longer clubs.
