Thought I'd start my journey of automatic watches from one of the cheaper but honestly very pretty Marlin collection from Timex.
I have no clue about the reliability or scratch resistance of this watch but damnn does it look good in the light. My initial options were the seiko 5 sport, seiko champagne gold classy watch from Singapore or something timex. Decided to use the leftover points from office to buy this timex beauty.
Its a champagne gold color, looks very pretty as a dress watch but can do casual as well, holds good time throughout the day and is overall a conversation starter (before I mention the brand lol).
The leather is a bit on the cheaper side, but nothing a metal mesh strap cannot fix in the future i believe or even a leather clasp type strap.
Got this for 12.6k on Flipkart [Indian Reseller] after verifying the seller, which I think is a steal for such a gorgeous watch!!
Im also on the lookout for a Timex X Tood Snyder beige dial, will probably be buying that next when it comes back into stock, but that's a quartz watch.
Gonna splurge on something like a seiko after I find something good looking, unlike the generic GMT diver type offering, recommendations appreciated.
