EPC light 2021 Golf TSI
I purchased a used 2021 Golf 1.8 TSI less than 2 months ago and the EPC light came on today. I turned the car off, then back on and it showed an error with the stop/start.
The car is driving perfectly fine. But I’ve noticed a few things that I think point to an electrical issue? For one day the stop start seemed to not be working properly i.e. car was not stopping but I hadn’t deactivated the stop/start. Haven’t had an issue with it since that one day.
About 2 weeks ago the power windows on the right side of the car weren’t working, but when I restarted the car they started working again and no issues with the windows since. Then a few days ago, the infotainment system turned off for about a minute and then rebooted, but again, has been fine since.
I am out of the regular warranty and have about a month left on the powertrain. I’m wondering if anyone has an idea of what this might be? If it’s something not likely to be covered by the powertrain warranty, I am thinking of taking it to another mechanic rather than a VW dealership.
