Stalls in Men’s Restrooms

My partner and I call them “campers”. You know, the people who just sit on the toilet in the only stall for 30 minutes at a time. I’m not talented enough to pee standing up and I don’t care to learn.

See also: People who are 98% likely to be cis camping out in the only single stall bathroom.

I miss how clean women’s restrooms were. I miss not having to dodge pee on the seat on the regular, and how disgusting most men’s restrooms are in general.

I don’t actually need advice, but if you have some good coping skills I’ll take it. Haha.

2 months post infusion, I don’t feel good

Is this a rant, or am I asking for commiseration? Maybe both.

I (47 ftm) have been tired, like really tired for a couple of years. I thought it was aging. Then, in March RLS kicked (pun intended) in. I went to my doctor’s office and saw a doctor who is not my PCP but was available and in the same office. He checked my ferritin, it was 34, all other iron levels normal. He gave me a script for Gabapentin and we figured out that I could get an infusion as long as he deemed it necessary.

I didn’t have a side effects from the infusion, in fact about two weeks after I felt better than I had in I don’t know how long. I saw my regular PCP again about 2 weeks after the infusion and she checked my ferritin again, it was 134. I know that it was too soon to know if that’s an actual level, but I’m worried she didn’t. She didn’t want me to supplement until she could take my ferritin again in the end of August.

I feel like crap, like total doo doo now. The brain fog is so bad I am forgetting words in every conversation I have, I’m exhausted, the rls has mostly subsided unless I decide to eat refined sugar after like 2pm :)

I don’t want to wait to get help until the end of August- my job ramps up and there is no opportunity to take a break if I need it. I made an appointment with a naturopath that a friend recommended, but in my brain fog I’m not even sure why I did that or if it makes sense. Maybe I’m just impatient.

If you read all that, thanks. I don’t know what I need I think I’m just ready for this to be done.

Cis nurse ally here- I support trans people ❤️

Obligatory my son has a trans friend, so I’m familiar with all of the ins and outs of transgenders. Like, for example I know that some go by they/them and some choose hrt while some don’t.
I care a lot and when trans people come into the ER where i work i make sure to tell them i know someone who is trans. I also let them know that there is no research on trans people, so it could be that the unrelated medical problem they are in the ER for could be an unknown cause of hrt.
I just want transgenders to feel affirmed when they visit! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️
