Assistant Editor to make rough cuts for YouTube Chanel

Must be USA based. Looking for someone to sync angles and do rough cuts cutting out all the boring bits. Must have a great sense for what's boring and keep things well-paced. Very simple rough cuts, nothing fancy, no music, no graphics, no color or sound work, just cutting out the boring bits. I will polish and finish the edit myself in FCP so I would need an XML delivered to me so I can open the timeline. If you edit in Premiere that handoff might be an issue. Would also like to discuss you possibly adding subtitles (different colors for different speakers).

As for budget, what would you charge for rough cuts like that? I can provide consistent work if we work good together but our footage varies in length so not every video would have the same budget, so how would you approach charing for something like this? I'm not sure what to offer exactly so I'm looking for your budget input. I'm not sure what makes most sense, a flat rate or hourly rate or rate per minute of finished vid...but whatever it is the equivalent pay would be around ($15 HOURLY or $20 HOURLY)

How to protect from editing theft?

[community] If I hire an editor and provide them with all of my footage, how can I protect myself from them uploading their edit to YouTube before I do? Are watermarked proxies the only way?
