For international students navigating a Master's in Germany this fall intake, how's it going ?

27F from India looking through uni assist and breaking my head on the process.

I'm targeting courses around international business, global management, innovation/entrepreneurship, IT & digitisation.

Not just a marketing focus.

Anyone who's pursing for this fall intake and/or is already in a good public uni, how did you do it?

Any genuine advice is appreciated. Thanks :)

Need genuine advice for HWR admit

Hi all. I'm 27F from Bangalore, India and I recently got an admit for M.Sc. International Business at HWR Berlin.

My background -

- 7.01 CGPA from DU in B. Com (H) batch of 2020
- IELTS score - 7.5
- Haven't taken GRE/GMAT
- 12th passed with a 92.25% in CBSE boards (got 2 medals from my school for scoring a 95/100 in accountancy and english)
- Have over 5.5 years of experience in corporate and tech communications, including working with GTM teams worldwide (I've intentionally chosen industries like sustainability, legal, automotive, ETL/ data processing to be in touch with disruptive tech and AI) and have worked across NAM, EMEA, AUZ and APAC markets.

I got the acceptance a day after a short 15 minute interview with the academic director, she was impressed with my experience, but after the interview I felt that I could get into a more seasoned degree. This degree is within the department of Berlin professional school and hence has a fee of €16,600 for a 1.5 year program.

Additionally, I applied to the MA international consulting: strategic management (this is within their department of economics and business) via uni assist. I told the uni it is my first priority.

Now, I am waiting to hear back for the MA degree but I do know that the results would come by end of july/ start of aug. For the M.Sc. (where I have the admit), I have a deadline to make a payment of €1000 to get the formal acceptance letter and get enrolled.

Given that HWR is a reputed uni and has a practical approach to learning, I'm wondering if I should secure my seat with the M.Sc. for now, and later if I get an admit from their department of economics and business, I accept that. For the ones reading, how would you navigate this situation?

I would love to hear from HWR alumni - for both these degrees.

Please also share suggestions of other unis where I can apply via uni assist, for courses related to global management, international business, strategy and consulting.
