I (18F) started college last fall and got super close to a guy that lived on the floor below me, ‘Zach’ (19M). Throughout first semester we became best friends and when we both fell out of our friend groups we built our own. This group consists of 4 girls and 3 guys.
Zach has always been a bit odd, and he liked to talk about his family has been in the mafia and tried to play up things like but I never thought much about his odd behavior until I started getting close to ‘Rose’ (19F). Rose and me would watch a show together once a week and every time Zach found out he’d walk into my dorm room uninvited. My floor was very close to each other so we all kept our doors unlocked. On one occasion he walked into 4 times in an hour. He would also try to talk shit about her with me quite often but I ignored it.
Overtime Rose noticed that Zach had been acting weird and hostile around her so I talked to Zach about it. Zach admitted that he didnt like how close she was to me and how it made him insecure about mine and his relationship. When I asked him to talk to her about it he said “she doesnt deserve my time and energy.”
I was initially resolved to talking to both of them and trying to get them to talk, however there was one event that pushed me over the edge.
We were going out for dinner like always and we put our bags down at our seats. Zach and Roses bags were next to each other. When I came back he’d switched mine and Roses bags.
That night I told the other two girls about his hostility where they agreed that it was messed up. Then, one of the guys told me that when the guys are alone Zach sometimes talks shit about my boyfriend. The same night, when the whole group met up Zach ended up announcing to the group that my panties were on his bed since we’d done our laundry together a bit ago due to there only being one dryer open.
Ive never been a huge texter, sometimes leaving my friends on delivered for days on end. Now that were in summer I havent texted him back, though we do call once a week to hold him off. The days that I dont call he calls 2-5 times a day in a day. The whole group has started making plans without him, setting up a different life 360 and making seperate group chats. He doesnt know that the lack of communication from everyone else is because of me. Am I obligated to talk to him and let him know why nobody is talking to him? AITA?

Im visiting Hamilton from the US for my birthday in about a month and I’m trying to create a to-do of things to do and places to eat.

Im bringing my younger brother along and I’m joining some family. Were looking for road trips, day trips, or things to do around the area that arent too expensive since we will be there for a while!!

I also really like small cafes and cute spaces to study/hangout. I dont know if hamilton has a big party scene but im not a huge fan of parties and clubs.

Im vegetarian and have had a really hard time finding good vegetarian/vegan spots in Hamilton online so I’m open to any options. I know its because but I am a huge cheesecake factory fan and would really like something with a similar vibe for my birthday. 🫣

What are some restaurants or activities you guys would recommend??
