Saw this little hopper and tried to catch a pic. Tried to find him in the pics and thought of this subreddit. Kept hopping away on me so was hard to snap him. Easier version has the grid, almost didn’t and keep losing him even though I know where to look.

Hi. Hoping for some help identifying the what is and how use of these. I bought some jewelry making supplies in an estate sale and these were in amongst a mixed bag of mostly jump rings and crimp covers. Seems apparent they are some sort of crimp but not sure the purpose as they were unfortunately not one of the things the previous owner labelled for my accidental convenience. I am a few months into learning to wire wrap so not sure whether this is something I can make use of.
But that doesn’t stop her in-law induced rage from spilling forth from molten caves.
