I’m a chronic idiopathic hive girly of about 3.5 years now. I’ve gone through the wringer of trying every prescription and OTC allergy medication out there. I Did xolair and it worked for a little then completely stopped working. I’ve been miserable with hives and swelling all over my body 24/7. Then suddenly, my allergist tells me about this new drug Rhapsido. She gives me a sample bottle and within the first day of taking it I was completely hive-free. Ive been hive-free for about 3 days now and I’m over the moon. I don’t see any side effects (yet) either. Well, insurance just denied my claim for it, so once this sample bottle runs out I’m screwed. Why, you ask? They want me to try dupixent first. Now this seems kind of evil to me. They want me to try something else because it’s cheaper. However, I’ve seen dupixent used mostly for eczema and other skin disorders that I don’t have. Also, I’d much rather take a miracle pill twice per day than have to inject myself with something that might not even work. I’m just so exhausted. I’ve also seen some scary things about dupixent side effects. Has anyone with CIU tried dupixent and had good results? And what is your experience on Rhapsido if you’ve tried it?
