We had our R290 heat pump installed this spring and the contractor said its their first one. They had no knowledge of any code restrictions for placement etc.
I called the city and they had no idea either. The main problem there was explaining to them what propane refrigerant is.

Does anybody know if Canada or Nova Scotia has any requirements for these units?

Not that it changes much as its installed and works fine. I just wanted to find out if there is something that might have to be addressed later.

We have Blue Ijen countertops. We are currently looking at replacing the windows of our house and for the kitchen would need a piece of Blue Ijen for the sill.

Unfortunately we had no pieces left after the kitchen reno so we ar looking to finding a pice somewhere. An entire slab for a 40x5" piece is obviously not an option.

Does somebody know places where to search for remnants or small pieces or is someone even considering Blue Ijen for their kitchen and would sell a remnant piece?
