God help me these kids are turning into animals

Last three days of school here and the kids are going off the walls. We had the after school kids crammed in my zone today and they kept throwing stuff around, "pranking" each other which left horrible sticky messes, they were running around and even lying down in the middle of the hallways. Not the adults in-charge faults either, they were way outnumbered and trying desperately to keep them in one area let alone curb the bad behavior. The kids were acting so completely feral when they're usually chill, it was so bad 😭

I'm behind on tasks because I have to clean up after them now 😭 I'm so tired already

I needed a plain can of beetroots for baking something, but all we have is minty.

I needed plain canned beetroot for my dream's twisted banana bread recipe but all we had were rusted and leaking cans of seasoned beetroot. Every single can of beets had some variation of "spring refresh" or "summer refresh" on the label, and were all seasoned with mint. They otherwise looked like normal cans of beets.

I was so flabbergasted and disgusted with my family for buying multiple cans and varieties of minty beetroot that I couldn't even form words. Then when I realized they were sitting here in the pantry not being eaten for so long that they expired, rusted, and leaked and my family still hadn't thrown them out I got so mad I walked away without talking to anyone and decided to take a shower. The dream turned into a nightmare of trying to take a shower in their horrible bathroom and having to clean it first, but no matter how much soap I used it still smelled like poop, there was always someone else's stuff in my way, and I kept finding new grime to clean. I woke up exhausted and realized I needed to clean the litterboxes irl.

I don't plan on making mint beetroot or the beetroot-based banana bread recipe, I hate beets.

Big crafting stores should close down if they're going to operate like this.

I went to Michaels today for two things that I knew they would have: unfinished wood coasters and sealant. I found both but the wood coasters were ~$7 for four and I need 23 of them, I decided to just order a larger package online from another store - comes with the little nubs that go on the bottom and I'm paying $1.50 a coaster from them. The sealant at Michaels was ~$20, I bought it at that price because I was impatient and didn't want to drive around during a thunderstorm to another store (turns out the same sealant is at Walmart right now for $8, so I could have had it delivered as well for less than I paid at Michaels). One guy had been waiting for the spray paint to be unlocked for 15 minutes when I got there. A girl and her mom were hunting the whole store for someone to help them find the crafting materials they needed.

I used to really enjoy walking around stores like this and would splurge like crazy but I was so cranky today I didn't bother going anywhere but the wood crafting area and the checkout.

Another minor complaint but it also didn't smell good in there. Every Michaels used to have this distinct woody + flowery scent right at the entrance that I associated with their store and this one just...didn't smell good.

I don't know, maybe none of this is a big deal but it threw off my groove today. I have to wait for my wood to be delivered now because I didn't want to pay $$$ for several packs of shitty wood squares. I can't get started on my project tonight. And I'm mad that I spent $20 on a single can of sealant.
