A list of games similar enough to DMC to tide people over until DMC6

It's exactly as the title says, it's just a list of games that I'd reccomend to anyone who desperately wants to play something like DMC but has already beat all the games. Mosy of these games aren't EXACTLY like DMC, but they scratch that itch.

  1. Bayonetta - It's literally made by Hideki Kamiya, the creator of DMC. It has fluid combat and even some moves that are directly ripped from DMC.

  2. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - It has combat based on constant movement and precise inputs, and the story and cinematics have that same slightly wacky, over-the-top action that DMC is known for.

  3. Hi-Fi Rush - It is a rythm-based action game with very fluid combat that all moves to the beat of the background music. The rythm aspect may not be for everyone, but I cannot reccomend this game enough. If you check out any of these, please try this one.

  4. Ninja Gaiden - Haven't actually played it, but I know it's known for brutally difficult, combo-focused combat and a more serious tone than DMC.

  5. NeiR: Automata - While the combat may not be the main focus of the game, it is a very fleshed out system, that only gets more complex, engaging and better for combos as you level up. Highly reccomend.

If anyone can think of any I didn't list, feel free to put it in the comments pls.

I want DMC6 as much as anyone, but it really hasn't been that long since 5.

It was roughly 10-11 YEARS between DMC4-5, and it has only been 7 or so years since DMC5. The devs need time and money to cook.

We have to give them time, if we want a product the same/better quality than DMC5, especially since the team is going through so many huge adjustments.

Capcom is providing the money part, considering they're putting DMC, Megaman and Ace Attorney on the forefront for the time-being.

We'll get DMC6 eventually, I'm certain of it, but we're asking too much too soon. Game development is HARD, and DMC is not an easy series to work with.
