Still Wakes the Deep - phenomenal horror game with a questionable DLC.

While I personally wasn't scared while playing it, the encounters with monsters are terrifying and the setting is perfect for horror, it is very unique. I must say that this game has one of the best voice acting I have ever heard, they got some genuinely talented people.

Then there is the DLC, which isn't bad, but it just feels completely pointless, as it adds close to nothing to the story except more questions. It would have been better as a demo for the base game.

Base game 10/10, DLC 5/10.

Alien Rogue Incursion - a flawed but fun Alien game

Alien Rogue Incursion is definitely the weakest from the modern Alien games, but it is still a decent and fun game. If you are an Alien fan, I think this is a must buy.

I like how it plays completely different to Isolation, Fireteam Elite and Dark Descent.

It doesn't last very long (like a 6 hour game) and it won't blow you away, but it is enjoyable and as an Alien fan, I had fun with it. Considering this is not a full priced game, I can look past some of the issues the game has, there is room for improvement in Part Two though. 7/10

Do not give up brothers, ETERNITY ON PC IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!

100% solo queue, no voice chat, mostly using Mister Fantastic.

First, I made Necros angry today and now I finally ranked up to Eternity after trying for three seasons, this day can't get any better.

DO NOT LOSE HOPE BROTHERS!!!!

u/FishdongXL — 4 days ago

So I played against Necros, he wasn't really happy about my Mister Fantastic xD

I am honestly really happy that a lot of people could see how annoying Mister Fantastic can be even in Celestial 1 lobbies on PC.

Any positive visibility for this character is good when every major streamer or youtuber tries to tell you that he is F tier anywhere outside bronze ranks on console or something.

Blair Witch completed, this could have been so much better....

Blair Witch had so much potential to be a phenomenal horror game, it has many great elements, but the execution is just quite underwhelming. It is not a bad game by any means, but it could have been so much better. 6,5/10.

I am so fucking sick and tired of losing ranked not because the enemy team was better, but because I had some thrower cunt on my team.

It is almost always the game before or after rank up too, I am so fucking fed up of this shit.

I am not even talking about people that just perform poorly, it happens to everyone, I know I was that person many times too.

I am talking about the people who genuinely fucking throw. Those fucking idiots whose character got banned and they can't play any other character from the 50 character roster. The cunts that go AFK for no reason for the whole match because why the fuck not. The losers that get diffed on their character once and switch to Black Widow. The worthless pieces of shit that somehow got to Celestial rank without ever touching any other role or character and who refuse to swap. The miserable fucking scumbags that start being toxic before our team even leaves the spawn and proceed to do god knows fucking what.

Like, out of last 12 Celestial 3/2 matches, I won 10, on PC, using fucking Mister Fantastic of all characters and those enemy teams were pretty tough, but it was extremely fun. Well, of course the moment I rank up to C2, the game goes "Nono enough winning buddy, here is a Black Panther that dies once and goes AFK for the rest of the match!".

It was the exact same thing 1,5 seasons ago, where I was just 1, maybe 2 wins away from hitting Eternity for the first time and guess what, I got 2 throwers, one of which switched to Widow for no reason and we lost and then I went on a losing streak and never climbed this high ever again because I got so demotivated.

FUCK. THIS. GAME. The throwers need to be punished significantly harder, not just get a 5 minute slap on the wrist for ruining the entire fucking match for 5 other people.

This part of the map seriously feels like an IQ check and many players fail.

I can't tell you how many games I have had where the enemy team is holding the area upstairs and my entire team is still choosing to go upstairs 4 fucking times in a row, dying each time, instead of going downstars straight to the objective.

I just had a match where Punisher had his turret placed up there and Groot had it covered by his walls, 5 of my teammates went there each time and died. I got to the objective all by myself 2 times and captured the point each time. The second capture was a game changer, because the enemy team never retook the objective and we won.

It genuinely seems like that the SINGLE WORST thing a Marvel Rivals player can do is really look forward to playing the game.

Please tell me this exact things happens to anyone else too, I can't be the only one.

I play Marvel Rivals pretty much daily, have been since launch, but I often play it out of necessity if that makes sense.

However, there are days where I am at work and the whole time I keep thinking "damn I can't wait to play Rivals today, I will actually play it for more than 2 hours, I am going to have a blast I can feel it"

And I swear to god whenever this happens, whenever I am genuinely excited to play the game, it is ALWAYS the worst fucking session you can imagine.

Either I am complete dogshit in most games or my teammates are, or both. I go on crazy losing streaks. The matchmaking always favors the enemy team, there are sweats everywhere. Whenever we lose, someone on the enemy team says some dumb shit like "thanks for the warmup, not even close, ez" or something like that. I get put into a match as a substitute 3 fucking times in a row. It just keeps going.

An achievement which I am never going to use :(

I bet if I displayed it on my profile, people would start banning Reed in ranked, so I will just never equip it xD

The Thing: Remastered done

The Thing is one of my most favorite movies of all time and this game is actually pretty enjoyable too. I liked the squad system, but it also had its issues, such as the sometimes horrible AI and the fear mechanic was inconsistent. Considering the original game came out in 2002, it has some pretty cool ideas and mechanics, such as leaning. The first half of the game does a great job at replicating the vibe of the movie, but the second half is mostly an action game where you fight soldiers, which I didn't really want. Still, I had a lot of fun playing this, even if it was really short, 7/10.

The Devil Came Through Here trilogy done - these games are extremely underrated gems.

I bet you never even heard of these games before, but they are so good. The Cat Lady and Downfall are phenomenal psychological horror games that deal with extremely tragic, depressing and disturbing themes and they really leave an impact on you. Lorelai is sadly much worse, but it has great visual style and it is still a decent game, just nowehere near as good as the other two. If you haven't played them yet, definitely give them a try! :)

This is what regret looks like....

I would honestly beat the sh*t out of my younger self if I could travel back in time. This used to be the classic Mr Freeze (a magnet version however, but still the classic look), which I think is still the best figure of him. Well, for some reason I decided to use marker all over him when I was like 8 years old. The head? I don't know where it is, maybe I lost it, maybe it is buried somewhere in the many huge Lego boxes that I have in the attic. Luckily the classic Riddler and Batman that came in that mini set are untouched.

The body isn't even that big of a problem, I could use an eraser or just buy new parts, they are cheap. However, the damn head alone is selling for like 100 dollars right now, which is why it infuriates me that I do not know where it is....

Is it some unwritten rule that every single dive champion player has to be an insufferable fucking whiner?

I am pretty sure there are great dive champions and this post isn't targeted towards them, but I have yet to see one.

Every time there is a champion Daredevil, Magik, Spiderman, Black Panther or god forbid fucking Iron Fist, they will always find a reason to be angry, it doesn't matter if it is Quick Match or Ranked.

You counter them? They start screaming in chat nonstop. You don't counter them and they walk over you? They talk shit. You counter them but they still make it work? They ridicule you. They are not performing well? They go AFK and blame teammates. No matter what happens, they always have the biggest ego in the match.

I see them so often and they don't even have to be champs tbh, even lords or no icon dive players are just cancer most of the time. I simply can't respect most dive players because of this.

It has been this way in Overwatch 2 too, where Genji and Sombra players were often just nonstop toxic. Does dive just attract the most miserable people or what the fuck?

I can't do this anymore, please tell me I am not the only one....

This season is basically unplayable as a Mister Fantastic main, unless the enemy Dino is super garbage, but that rarely happens because he has no skill expression. Not to mention Dino is in like 95% of the matches.

I can't frontline because Dino grabs me and throws me in the middle of his team, which leads to my death. I often can't go into their backline, because if I am there, my supps can't heal me through Dino's gigantic hitbox and shield and also Dino sometimes just looks behind him and throws me elsewhere. Dino has so much HP and shield that my damage tickles him.

Some of my other mains are Emma and Moon Knight, I also started to use Jean more often this season. Unfortunately, I am usually the only one who counters Dino and a single counter only works (and that is not even guaranteed) if he has no second tank.

However, I also had games where I was on Jean and someone else was on Moon Knight, Punisher, those are 3 characters that should MELT him and it still did absolutely nothing. Everyone else on his team had 7+ deaths, but Dino only had 2. Genuinely fuck this character.

The only proper way to deal with him currently is to play Ranked and ban him every single time and just avoid Quick Match at all cost.

I have never felt such hatred and disgust for a single character and that says a lot when the game is full of questionably balanced heroes.

Seriously, how do you guys deal with him and how do you feel about him?

u/FishdongXL — 1 month ago

Mister Fantastic, how long can you stall the objective? YES.

Somehow, this was in a GM3 match (the first game after my placement matches), with GM/Celestial players. It felt like I was fighting AI, because only the poor supports seemed aware of my presence xD

But I was also really lucky that Jeff and Magneto always made it back in time to give me some heals and bubble.

17 months later and so many players still don't push the payload....WHY?!

I don't know why so many players treat Rivals like some sort of Team Deathmatch or Free-for-All game mode where the objective is just an optional bonus - if they even realize there is an objective in the first place.

The goal of the game is to capture the point or, in this case, push the payload to the finish line.

I've had multiple matches, both in Quick Match and Ranked, where we were literally 5 meters away from reaching the next checkpoint, only for the enemy team to regroup, stop the payload, and win the game because nobody on my team bothered to push it.

Recently I've been playing Mister Fantastic or Emma almost all the time - characters that are meant to play on the frontline. I shouldn't be the one sitting on the payload, yet I constantly find myself doing exactly that because, for some reason, five people decide to chase two enemies across the entire map.

Supports like Jeff or Rocket, - the characters that should be babysitting the payload in situations like this - are instead glued directly behind the tank, leaving the payload moving at a snail's pace.

I don't think people realize how HUGE the difference in payload speed is when even one person is pushing it. The cart barely moves when nobody is near it. When I am on ranged DPS or support, I always make sure to push it, unless it is absolutely neccessary to stay close to my team and help them fight.

It's even worse in close matches where every bit of payload distance matters, but your ranged DPS or supports are nowhere near the objective. It's genuinely infuriating when you ping the payload multiple times and nobody comes back to help push it.

And the craziest part is that this happens in Quick Match, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Grandmaster, and even fucking Celestial and the game has been out for 17 months.

There seriously needs to be more objective-based information on the scoreboard, like time spent capturing, pushing, contesting, or defending the objective. Those are stats that actually matter - not just raw damage dealt.

People are way too quick to blame someone because their stats don't look impressive, but the game hides so much important information. Bad stats don't automatically mean someone wasn't doing their job.

A Moon Knight player could finish the match with one final hit, while the rest of the team doesn't realize he spent the entire game pushing the payload while everyone else was busy fighting on the frontline.

This guy went from "it is not that serious" to a full blown tamper tantrum within like 4 minutes, the average GM/Celestial ranked match.

I am not blurring out any names, including mine, fuck that, people like this guy deserve all the shame.

It all started when I asked my team to ban Dino, I hate playing against him and I don't trust my teammates to counter him. I don't care if there is a Dino on my team, chances are there is one on the enemy team too and I don't want that, it is not meant as an attack on my teammates. Plus the character just came out, it would be way more toxic to ban someone's champion, but somehow people across multiple matches are completely losing their minds that I dared to ban a 5 days old character that is already stomping many matches.

I thought surely this would be the only negative exchange in the match, I was wrong. It only took like 4 minutes for this guy to go from "It is not that serious" to having a full blown temper tantrum, all because Invis ulted alone on the objective, trying to buy time for our Strange to portal to the objective. It didn't work out and this guy lost it.

We weren't a good team overall, the enemy team was better, so we still would have lost, but people like this make losing even more inevitable.

And yes, you can say I had some toxic messages too, but I only start getting toxic when some person decides to be an absolute fucking asshole in the middle of the match for no reason.

Even with buffs, this has to be one of the worst patches for Mister Fantastic

I don't know how many Fantastic enjoyers are on this sub, but I am posting it anyway because it is a rant. You might think some of these complaints are weird and that some of those characters deserved buffs and that's valid, but this is coming from a Fantastic player and as you probably know, many people have considered him low tier ever since he released. We finally get buffs and it is probably the worst timing they could have chosen. At this point, don't buff Reed, nerf everyone around him.

Every single match so far has been against Devil Dinosaur, who you often can't kill unless you have like 2 high damage dps. I saw the clips of Reed dealing insane damage against him, but I seriously wasn't able to replicate this in online play or in practice, so idk whats up with that. Just because Dino is cute, I am afraid he is going to remain in a lot of matches. DIno often grabs you and throws you elsewhere and his shield is also good against Fantastic.

White Fox, the one support character that just outheals anything you do with her melee form, her teleport cancels your punches/ult and she is pain to kill most of the time? Well obviously they buffed her.

Another support that I don't enjoy going against is Loki, guess what? His healing is better.

Punisher, the character that can destroy you in like 2 shots with his shotgun? Oh yeah give him team up with the most used tank right now.

Phoenix was often able to melt Reed, so they made her primary fire even stronger, amazing.

For the last few months, I keep coming across cracked Iron Fists, so I am glad they buffed him too.

The Thing, a character that isn't that easy to kill with Reed and he disables your backshots? You don't understand how happy I am that he now has even more HP.

Emma was always good against Reed, now she is even better.

And they also made sure to buff Moon Knight and Wolverine, who are both good counters, but their buffs are not that noticeable thankfully.

I am surprised they didn't buff Venom again so he has even more HP.

Meanwhile we get minor buffs and also one nerf because we were the "oppressive" ones? Are they fucking kidding? Half the roster is oppressive against this one character.

Maybe I just had horrible luck on the matchmaking, but every match on him felt miserable, more than ever before.

EDIT: I played some more and when there isn't a Dino with a cracked Punisher on his back deleting me within one second and I am allowed to play the game, Reed's buffs actually feel really nice, the lower cooldown on his backshots makes his movement crazy at times and the extra damage on his primary fire is quite nice (but bugged....)

Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens finished - you can't really go wrong with a Lego game

A single movie out of a big franchise getting its own Lego videogame is pretty weird, but it is still very enjoyable. I really liked the new missions, which act like prequels/sequels to Force Awakens, showing you what happened to certain characters and they are canon, which is honestly cool. I also can't believe they got Harrison Ford to voice Han Solo here, same goes for the rest of the cast. If you are going to buy this, make sure VSync is always ON, otherwise this is the buggiest Lego game on the market, I had multiple game breaking bugs before I turned it back on.
