MSc Cognitive Science + CFA

My thinking is that finance is heavily driven by human behaviour, decision-making, and biases, so combining cognitive science (psychology, AI, decision science) with CFA (finance, investments) could help me build a niche in areas such as behavioural finance, fintech, or product roles.

However, this isn’t a traditional path like MBA Finance, and it could be confusing or unfocused to recruiters if not positioned properly.

I’d really appreciate honest opinions on:

  • Does this combination actually make sense in the real job market?
  • Are there specific roles where this profile would be valued?
