About Me
Here I am, trying to find my way into becoming the woman I’ve always felt inside. I’ve been on HRT for the past 10 months, and I’ve really been trying to grow, change, and let my body become more feminine. I’ve been hoping that my breasts and the other changes in my body will help me finally feel like I belong in a woman’s body.
I’m 64 years old, and I know I started this journey very late in life. I’ve never even gone out in public dressed as a woman. In many ways, I’m still trying to understand who I am and find the courage to take that next step.
The hardest part is that no one knows what I’m going through—not even my wife of 47 years. I love her deeply, and that’s what makes this so frightening. I don’t know how to tell her, or even where to begin.
For those of you who have been through something similar, I would really appreciate hearing how you handled it. Did you tell your spouse right away? Did you wait until you felt more certain and comfortable with yourself?
Part of me wants to stay on this path quietly until I’m further along. Another part of me knows that eventually I may need to let the person I’ve shared almost my entire life with know the truth about who I am becoming.
I’m scared, confused, hopeful, and honestly just looking for some understanding from people who might know what this feels like. If you have any advice or personal experience to share, I would be truly grateful.
