Does Ethernet connection improve your game skills compared to WiFi?

I’ve been on WIFi on my pc and I cannot run Ethernet because it’s too long across room. But I will discuss to my parents to get me Ethernet setup.

I planning to join high school esport team this year and I want to improve but it’s seem WIFI lag had prevented me from getting better and consistent.

I only play Fortnite and I can’t hit consistent edits or building due to lag and I have powerful pc and it shouldn’t be cause this lag. I had experience ping spikes, packet loss, and lag on wifi.

So do you think switching it actually improve your in game mechanics and skills? Why and how it can ? Is there a benefit using Ethernet?

Thanks and I want to know if it actually improve and convince my parents get me wired connection setup.

Can I skip this ATT pre activation on my new iPhone?

I bought a new iPhone yesterday from the apple store. Well when I setup myself to explore a new phone at home, it asks me for the phone number and zip code that I can't skip. Because of this, the new phone is not ready for normal use until I get a new case and protection. I'm not transferring my old phone to it immediately..

So is there a way I can bypass it and set it up later in settings? Thanks

Update: thanks to people for helping me out with this. I was able to skip by pressing continue 3 times and it'll let you skip and you can set it up later in settings in case anyone has similar issues.

Refurbished iPhone 15 Pro or brand new iPhone 17e?

Hello.

I am an android user and have been using it for 1 year. My phone is cracked and lasts 1 year of support and I want to switch to iPhone.

The hard choice is that getting 15 pro over 17e is better despite losing 2 years of support because people told me on r/apple server. I never had an iPhone before so it's gonna be my first time buying an iPhone.

I prefer 256GB of storage and I live in US so what is safest to buy these from? Do you recommend iPhone 17e or iPhone 15 Pro?

Thanks for help

Should I upgrade my PC for engineering ?

Hello, I need help with this build. So I have a prebuilt Powerspec G527 that has Ryzen 5 7500X3D, Powercolor RX 9060 XT 16GB, 32GB DDR5, 1TB SSD, and B850M motherboard for $999 back to November 2025.

i‘m considering to upgrade both CPU and GPU to a 9850X3D and RTX 5070 Ti along with Z20 SFF case swap for engineering such as 3D modeling and I also play games too.

i could have built my own PC but the RAM and SSD prices have skyrocketed so I’m forced go with a prebuilt from nearly micro center.

Do you think I should upgrade it or stick with this prebuilt and do SFF swap only? Thank for your help.
