CGM

Hi all, I was just diagnosed with GDM and am very new to everything related to it. I'm currently using a CGM (Libre 2 Plus), and I read that it has a lag time of 5–15 minutes. Should I be taking my post-meal glucose reading exactly 2 hours after eating, or 2 hours and 15 minutes after the meal?

I've noticed that the difference between these two timings can be quite significant. If I account for the 15-minute lag, my glucose reading is within the target range, but if I check at exactly 2 hours, it isn't.

macbook or nintendo switch?

Hi everyone, I'm planning to start playing Two Point Museum, but I can't decide whether to get it on my MacBook or my Nintendo Switch.

For those of you who've played it on both platforms, which one would you recommend and why?

FTM 26w4d, GD diagnosis + fundal height measuring small—should I be worried while waiting for next appointment?

Hi all, I’m a FTM and currently 26w4d pregnant. I did my GTT and got my results today saying I have gestational diabetes. I won’t be seeing my midwife for at least another 2 weeks. Do I just wait until then, or is there anything I should be doing in the meantime other than watching my diet?

I’m feeling quite anxious as a FTM with this new diagnosis. I keep worrying whether my baby is growing well, especially since my bump seems pretty small. I’m about 6.5 months along and people often tell me I don’t look that far along or even pregnant at all.

At my last midwife appointment about a month ago, she mentioned my fundal height was measuring a bit smaller than expected and said she would recheck it at my next appointment (which is in 2 weeks). In the meantime though, I’m just feeling quite anxious about everything combined - my GD diagnosis, that comment, and how small my bump looks compared to what I see in others.

I also tried calling my maternity unit for advice, but I was told it’s only for emergencies. So I don’t really know where to go for support..
