How do you make sure you’re getting your protein in, daily?

I know Anhedonia is a side effect for some….. but I’m feeling that way towards food. Even my favorite foods don’t seem enjoyable, I’m eating to eat with no enjoyment in food. Still getting my calories in because I don’t want to lose my gym progress but getting that protein in has been a challenge.

Health Insurance question for those who are self-employed

First time ever having to figure out health insurance as a self-employed person since I’ll soon be leaving my employer and becoming self-employed.

For those who have used BeWell NM or any other service, what has your experience been like? Is there anything you wish you knew before signing up? I’d especially love to hear about the actual costs/premiums, out-of-pocket expenses, etc.

I’m single with no dependents and currently have Presbyterian through my employer, so this is all new territory for me. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

This was a scar revision and within 2 months it turned back into this….

It’s itchy and it hurts A LOT randomly. Is there any way to prevent it during surgery? I went to ER for unrelated issue and ER doctor saw my scars (I have more than 1 from abdominal surgery) and said it was keloids and I need to tell future surgeons that I have keloid prone skin so they can take different stitching approach during surgery?

I love Reta but the inconsistent side effects really be beating me up.

I can pin one week (I can even go 2-3 weeks with no side effects). Then when I pin again the following week the side effects hit me like a train wreck!

My most common side effects: waking up the night of pinning with anxiety, fast heart rate (130 bpm while laying down), and nausea….. then followed by the feeling like my body is weak, I’m extremely tired, sleeping all day, and my body feels limp.

I drink a lot of water, I get my electrolytes in! I’ve lost 20lbs in 3 months. I like Reta when there’s no side effects, but sometimes I don’t know what to expect since the side effects aren’t consistent.

Yes I pin the same mg every week.

The best $20 spent in adopting a cat 6 years ago from the animal shelter.

Just a reminder that during every major holiday the Santa Fe Animal Shelter has pets as low as $20.

She was 3-4 years old when I adopted her. She has been the best cat ever. Can’t image a home without her.

Do any of you have a shelter dog/cat you’ve adopted? Let me see them 🥰🥰🥰

Do we have a electrolysis hair removal service in Santa Fe?

I really don’t want to waste my time with laser hair removal especially having PCOS.

I’ll travel to Albuquerque if necessary, but wondering if anyone has had electrolysis hair removal in Santa Fe or ABQ?

Any insights on 1800 contacts overnight delivery or other services?

FedEx accidentally delivered my daily contacts to somewhere in VELARDE, NM yesterday morning and I have very low hopes in getting that package back :/ (I get my contacts through Sam’s and they won’t resend me another pair and won’t refund me until Tuesday because they have to try to locate package first).

My vision is literally so bad I can’t see without contacts/glasses to drive or work (I don’t have glasses right now).

My optical location doesn’t carry any trials for my vision.

I only have 1 day of daily’s left so I’m freaking out lol

Has anyone used 1800 contacts overnight delivery? How reliable is it? Or any place in Santa Fe or ABQ that carries contacts to purchase? I’m desperate 😭

I’ve lost over 80lbs and have loose skin & would like a tummy tuck but…. I didn’t know I had keloid prone skin until 9 years ago I had to have emergency gallbladder removal and those scars turned into keloids. They were very painful for me as they itched and would have random pain spasms, I had to get steroid injections to flatten them but even with that I can’t imagine getting steroid injections on a tummy tuck scar 😞

I did have a Dr. tell me that there are ways to “prevent” keloid scars after surgery but I would like to hear from someone who has had a TT while having keloid prone skin.
