South Korea shopping ~ Skincare and hardly any make-up

Hey there,

I've NEVER in my life done a haul or bought a lot on whim so my shopping from a recent trip has been divided in multiple days. And the actual shopping for myself is quite lesser, most are samples that I received at Olive Young and some other products for gifting.

Following is a list of things I bought for myself and to gift a few of my friends and family:

Picture 1:

  1. Torriden Facial Mist

  2. Dr. Ato Cooling Sunscreen spray

  3. W. Dressroom NY Handcream in White Musk and the gift is Green Bergamot.

  4. BoJ Sunscreen Stick

  5. Gifts: Two travel sized assorted sunscreens.

  6. Anua Glow Pads in travel sized packaging

  7. Nivea Dry Touch Roll-on (pack of 2)

Picture 2:

  1. Careplus Pimple patches

  2. Vaseline Lip therapy

  3. Fillimilli Cooling Guasha

  4. Hince Lip Tints: Gift and one for myself. Shades- Leather and Spice

  5. LRP Cicaplast baume for my lips

  6. You can also see a stick on pasties in there in a pretty convenient shape 😂

Everything else in that picture are samples.

Picture 3:

  1. Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream (I bought 2)

  2. Daiso-Cooling Deo Tissues

  3. BoJ Revive Eye Serum (pack of 2)

The rest are samples.

But the swatch on my hand is Athé Lip Glowy balm (will add the shade as well). Edit: Left side is May and Right one is Crave (Crave is the one I bought)

Edit 2: I'm not able to add any more pictures to this post so please treat this as part 1. While part 2 would be fairly smaller than this.

Travel for Work: Skincare edition.

Hey y'all!

I made a post yesterday on minimal makeup that I carry for business travels. Here's the skincare version of the same post.

Skin-type: Dry, acne-prone. Undergoing acne and PIH treatment for 2 years now.

A little about myself: I'm 33F, who works so much on-field that I have direct sun exposure all day. I can't help it due to the nature of my job. The majority of my commute involves air travel so a lot of sun exposure and dryness from the cabin. I workout regularly and eat healthy, no matter where I'm at. I target 85-90g of protein in a day and a lot of my meals also rely on veggies for fiber and micronutrients and a good source of fat (Olive oil, nuts and seeds etc). I take plant protein (I'm lactose intolerant so nothing else suits me), 3g Creatine, Collagen, Magnesium and Omega supplements. While working out/running I take electrolytes for hydration. Sleep has been a non-negotiable for me, and 7-8 hours of good quality sleep keeps me optimally functioning and recovered.

Let's start with the things which are NOT in the picture:

  1. Centella cleansing Oil (mini)

  2. Minimalist Salicylic Acid 2% face cleanser.

  3. Garnier super UV invisible Air mist: for body

From the picture:

  1. CeraVe Moisturizing cream: HG for many years.

  2. BoJ Relief Sun Aqua Sunscreen: first time user, love it so far.

  3. The Ordinary Azelaic Suspension 10%

  4. Estee Lauder ANR

  5. FE Rose Water face mist: gives me quick refreshment to an otherwise dry skin.

  6. Derm recommendations: Glocin and Kozisol (strictly prescription)

  7. Loreal oil in serum for hair: I swear by this after blowdrying my hair, to tame any frizz.

For an on the go finishing touch I use Moxie hair Finishing stick (not shown in the picture)

Again not in the picture

  1. Shampoo: 1 clarifying and Moxie (wavy hair one)

  2. Conditioner: A mini hair mask from Loreal I got as a freebie once lol.

Edit: 13. And 14. I have a tester pack of Indewild Hair champi hair oil and hair growth serum that I'm carrying. So far I've liked both but the hair serum does a better job at smoothening my hair overnight rather than growth. For hair growth I have a different one at home which is prescribed.

Footnote: there's absolutely no need to buy or carry multiple versions of the same thing. I see posts where much younger women are spending thousands on buying tons of lip products and what not, you don't need any of it. Find out what works for you and stick with it. And I highly, highly recommend seeking professional help with anything related to health, fitness, nutrition, skin and mind (therapy). It saves you a lot of time and money both.

Travel Make-up (Work edition)

Hey to everyone who uses make-up,

I keep seeing posts in various subs regarding what all we pack for travelling. I'm someone who travels for work regularly and has over the years perfected a make-up routine that works for me no matter where I'm traveling. Thinking of doing a few posts regarding all that I carry for my travels, starting with the minimal make-up edition. I can also do skincare edition and health & fitness if anyone would like to know. Or they can dm me regarding the same.

A bit about me: I'm 33F and on an active dermat treatment for the last couple of years and it has helped my acne immensely. I have dry acne-prone skin. And I might not be able to respond to comments/dms right away but I'll get around it asap.

Also, as someone in her early 30s I am able to spend on these items so DO NOT think that you should too if the budget doesn't allow. I absolutely despise overconsumption of any kind and any collection of mine will be the bare minimum stuff that I need.

Inclusions in this post:

  1. Smashbox Halo glow tinted moisturizer: Shade Medium (Rarely use this)

  2. Maybelline concealers: Shade Caramel and Medium

  3. Kaybeauty Compact (the new variant): 130N Medium

  4. Kaybeauty contour stick (I use it as eyeshadow): Cocoa

  5. Kaybeauty Brown Kajal matte

  6. Kaybeauty Eyeliner pencil: I believe it is some blue (I'll find out the shade)

  7. Lip liners: Sephora Deep Brown, Mac Soar

  8. Lipsticks: Mac Whirl, Lakme 9to5 Chocolate Crush

  9. Dior Lip Glow Lip blam: Strawberry

  10. Rare beauty lip oil: Honesty

  11. Nykaa eye shadow quads: Shade: 01 Night-out
