Girls, what do you do with expired makeup?

Random question because I got curious after seeing people talk about makeup expiration dates online 😭

What do you usually do with expired makeup? Do you throw it out right away, keep using certain products anyway or something else?

Also how seriously do you take expiration dates on makeup in general? I feel like everyone has at least one product they’ve kept way longer than they probably should 💀

Is it just me or were skin, hair and nails way better when we used fewer products? 😭

Not bashing extensive routines at all , if it works for you amazing babe.

But I feel like back when I only used basic stuff like face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen, and simple hair oiling/shampooing, everything was healthier. ( I am talking about a year and half ago , not my teenage days )

Now after getting into serums, actives, layering and detailed routines with tons of research my skin feels more sensitive and my hair looks dull sometimes. Anyone else feel the same?

Edit – Guys I’m not talking about basic skincare like CTMS. Basic skincare is a MUST. I mean extensive routines with many serums, actives , steps etc. This post isn’t meant to bash anyone or any routine at all, just a healthy discussion for people who’ve felt or experienced something similar.

Unpopular opinion but this body scrub…

I think no other loofah or body scrub could ever remove the grime like this one does.

The satisfaction of scrubbing the body with this one is just unmatched.

Hot take: the indian beauty community’s over-consumption is dystopian and influencers have completely broken our sense of reality

Can we please talk about how unhinged the over-consumption in the indian beauty community has gotten lately because it’s genuinely becoming dystopian.

Every second reel on my feed is a beauty influencer showing off a "small nykaa haul" that costs 15k, or touring a vanity packed with 30 different liquid blushes and 25 clear lip oils. half of these luxury products cost ₹3,000+ a pop. nobody needs ₹10,000 worth of pink cheeks, especially when liquid formulas start separating, smelling like plastic, and growing bacteria within 6 to 12 months.

What kills me is the sheer dishonesty of it all. These creators will post a video screaming about a "holy grail" serum that saved their skin, and then literally three days later post a paid partnership vouching for a completely different brand's product claiming *that* one is their secret. they are just cycling through sponsorships to make a quick buck while fueling intense fomo.

The gaslighting is crazy. they make it seem normal to spend half your monthly budget on a backup for a backup, but in reality, you're just paying thousands of rupees to let chemical waste sit on your desk. i'm so done watching people hoard stuff they don't even like just to feel something.

Showing off a graveyard of expensive products that are literally going rancid in your drawer isn't a flex, it's just financial self-sabotage and waste. i miss when people just had one solid, everyday pouch of products they actually loved and used until they hit the actual pan.

I know we love to show our hauls but let's also encourage hitting pan and showing the products we have finished.

We need reality not 10 products of the same thing.

Sorry for the rant.Don't come@ me just my opinion<3

Dear alum… wish we met earlier

Ignored you for years despite hearing about you literally everywhere… and now that I finally gave in? Best adult decision ever.

Every fancy deo makes me sweat + smell weird after 2-3 hours. You keep me odour free ALL DAY. Even after removing shoes in peak summer… still no smell. Insane for ₹10.

And somehow you also decided to:

-> calm those tiny shaving bumps on my arms & legs after shaving

->reduce my backacne by like 70%

-> almost vanished my underarms acne due to sweat and constant shaving

->save me money AND bathroom shelf space

Oo alum wish we met earlier — a girl who spent half her income on deos and body acne products 🤡

Edit – How I Use This ✨

I wet the alum stone and gently rub it on clean underarms or skin after bathing, then let it dry naturally. I use it 2–3 times a week on my body, every alternate day on my underarms and daily on the back of my feet. I also make sure to wait at least 5 minutes before applying it on freshly shaved skin. Afterward, I follow up with either Vaseline Gluta Sunscreen or CAP Barrier Repair Lotion depending on the time of day.

Conscious Chemist Lush Lips

I have pigmented lips so i gave up on gloss but this is the best lipgloss ive owned. its so pigmented and moisturising too. usually lipglosses have little pigment and lips still feel chapped but this is the opposite. the only downside is the packaging. randomly exploded after 6 months...but i still use it coz i love it 10/10

3 of my best purchases of 2026

Ketocip Shampoo - I have been using this shampoo from some time and it helped me reduce my dandruff and I am not facing any itching now.

Personal Touch Backshift Cream - I have been using this for a while now and can see visible change in my wrinkles and fine lines. It helped me in skin firming

Fix my Curls Cream - As a curly girl I love this I apply this on my hair after shampoo I use this along my hair gel

YALL PLS HELP ME!!

Im so skeptical between these too. I was looking for lip glosses in affordable range and works better. I came across these two.

They say that the MARS one leaks alot like, and people had to re-apply so it barely works for 10-12 days. Few say its not even a lip gloss, its a lip oil formula. BUT THE SHADE cherry cola IS SO GOOD 😭 IDK what to do

The swiss beauty one seems to be affordable but i have not seen any reviews about it, the shade berry mission and nude coco kinda attracts me. About its formula, they say- it feels like lip balm and and is a bit thicker. But i feel like it would be a better choice.

(and the fact that both of them are sold out is cherry on top)

PLEASE HELP ME OUT YALLLL😭😭😭😭

Also, where can I find it with more cheaper price ?

🧿 Apparently my skin “glows” so here’s what I do

Okay so this is something I get complimented on A LOT 😭 (touchwood) : my skin.

People constantly ask me what makeup/base I use and the answer is literally… none 💀
I only wear lipliner + lipstick. That’s it.

No foundation, no concealer, no skin tint, nothing.

And thankfully I currently have:
- no acne
- no acne marks
- no pigmentation issues
- and my skin naturally stays pretty glowy.

So I thought I’d share what’s currently working for me:

• Gentle cleanser twice a day (I use FixDerma Skarfix-TX Face Cleanser)
• Serum (I use Minimalist Vit C 10% and The Derma Co 2% Salicylic Acid Serum, alternating daily)
• Moisturiser twice a day (I use Dot&Key Ceramides and Hyaluronic Barrier Repair Moisturiser)
• Sunscreen EVERY day (I currently Foxtale Golden Hour Glow Sunscreen SPF 50 but I will recommend Minimalist/ FixDerma/ The Derma Co)
• Not overdoing actives (I use The Ordinary AHA30% + BHA2% Peeling Solution)
• Keeping skincare simple and importantly, consistent

My skin type - Super dry with oily T zone

But honestly? The BIGGEST thing : PLEASE DRINK WATER 😭

I genuinely think people underestimate how much hydration affects:
- acne
- dullness
- overall glow
- and even how “healthy” your skin looks.

Like you’ve NO idea how noticeable the difference is when you’re consistently hydrated.

I do get random zits at times and that’s when I’m reminded to fix my water intake.
2 days back on track and the pimple disappears 🪄

P.S. Please ignore the “Prada” under my eyes. I’m working a night shift job and barely get enough sleep. On my notice period at the moment, so hopefully I’m able to fix this soon 🤞🏻

Body Razor suggestion

Till now i only used hair removal creams but now I want to switch to razor , can you girlies please suggest me which one will be better for first time user , and how convenient they are , and how often I should change the blades.. please 🥺🙏

24 f - need to start consistent skincare ritual. Need serious recommendations

I am 24 years old. I realised it's high time I started investing in skincare and take it seriously when someone guessed my age to be 26. Now it doesn't mean I was out there looking for any validation or something. I was always conscious about my skin because growing up I was a very stressed kid so that kind of affected my glow immensely. So basically even though I have a healthy, acne free, pimple free skin, I do lack glow a lot. I get this a lot from my family and few of my close friends (in good faith) that I should work on it. Now talking about my habits, I drink occasionally, doesn't smoke cigg just J sometimes (not regularly), but I haven't smoked in last 1.5 months . I eat clean mostly home made meals. Drink water 2-3 L/day (I try my best to be consistent on this one). I don't do much workout, just walk as of now for 30 min.

About my skincare as of now, I use:

 • Minimalist Oat extract cleanser
 • Urban Botanics steam distilled rose water
 • Nivea soft moisturizer
 • Dr. Seth's ceramide and vit c sunscreen

About my skin:

 • Combination skin
 • Barely get breakouts
 • I have swollen eye bags (lil pigmented) and sometimes when the swell goes, the eyes look a little hollow. (People feel that I haven't slept or cried a lot looking at my swollen eyebags)

So, as I can afford to invest in myself I really need some advice on what to change, what products to use, any skincare ritual to follow, basically just help me out here figure out what to do to get a Glowing Twacha.

🚨 CRITICAL UPDATE: My Wife’s Weight Dropped to 29kg – Her Spine is Unstable & We Are Running Out of Time (Updated: 20-May-2026)

ੴ Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh ੴ

"Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam Ji, Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam..." 🙏✨

I have absolute faith in Waheguru that He will pull my Shahin out of the jaws of death. As a humble person and a helpless husband, I stand before this community with folded hands. Waheguru Ji has guided your kind hearts to support us in the past, and I deeply pray that in this hour of extreme crisis, Guru Sahib moves your hearts to show mercy and stand by us once again. Please hear our prayers.

Hello everyone,

I am writing this with a heart full of gratitude but a soul crushed by fear. We are sharing this crucial update directly from our hospital visit today at RGCIRC to keep all of you informed about Shahin's critical medical situation.

First, a special thanks to everyone for Raheel. Because of your incredible support and prayers, my 1.5-year-old son Raheel is finally doing better and is now stable. However, as one battle settles, my wife Shahin’s fight against cancer has become immensely difficult. We are back in a terrifying situation. Shahin remains completely bed-bound at home, and her condition is deteriorating day by day.

🛑 Latest Medical Situation & Doctor's Notes (As of Today, 20-May-2026)

1.Weight Dropped to 29kg & No Surgery: Shahin's body weight has dropped drastically to just 29 kg. Because of her extreme weakness and frail physical condition, the neurosurgeon and oncologists have clearly stated that she cannot undergo any surgical stabilization.

2.Unstable Spine & Severe Pain: Her spine's stability score (SINS Score) is now more than 12, meaning her spine is highly unstable and under constant threat of further pathological collapse. She is in excruciating pain and requires heavy nerve and pain medications just to survive the day.

3.New Expensive Injections Started Today: To control the bone damage and aggressive progression, the doctor has immediately prescribed Inj Ecentra 120 mg (Subcutaneous) and Inj Fulvaa 500 mg (Intramuscular) starting today, along with ongoing targeted therapies. These new lines of treatment have massively escalated our daily expenses overnight.

4.Breast Wound & Aggressive Spread: The cancer has progressed with new angry-red nodules over her breast area with constant pus and serous discharge. The disease has actively spread to her neck lymph nodes and liver parenchymal.

🔬 Liquid Biopsy & Treatment Costs Awaited.

While Shahin is already undergoing Targeted Immunotherapy, the rapid progression forced us to submit samples for a Liquid Biopsy. We are currently awaiting these reports to see if any alternate medical formulations are needed, which will increase the treatment plan and expenses even further.

🙏 An Emotional Thank You: Your Support Has Kept Us Alive.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you with folded hands. Initially, I managed to spend ₹11 Lakhs entirely on my own by exhausting all my savings and taking multiple personal loans.

Since then, the treatment expenses over the last few months have escalated to ₹22 to ₹23 Lakhs. This massive extension of her treatment was made possible purely because of the ₹18 Lakhs raised through your overwhelming public support. Without your kindness, I would not have been able to sustain her treatment this far.

With these new medical complications, expensive injections, and continuous care, my resources are completely depleted. I beg you—please do not leave our side during this dark phase. Shahin is fighting with everything she has just to see her baby boy grow up. Please help us save her life.

Is face serum not for everyone?

So i'm not used to apply all the skincare stuff, i get applied common family moisturizer from a young age. As the skincare trend boosted...it caught my eye.

few years ago, I decided to usual basic skin care: face wash -> moisturizer -> sunscreen. Also got names like toner, serum. Got some knowledge about tanning, healthy skin, fake skin care blah blah blah.

I decided to use serum as my face has good chance of improvement, i got minimalist salicylic acid serum and derma co niacinamide serum as i have oily skin with acne and black heads and white heads.

but it felt very weird for few days its like i could feel serum on my face & felt uncomfortable, i washed it off fully then just applied moisturizer.

then i never used serum.

I only use face wash then moisturizer then sunscreen, it has greatly helped me but i want that clear smooth skin .

Might be my application method was wrong? or these brands are not suitable for me? or my skin is sensitive ? , like a fear type of thing has occur that it appears like a plastic film on face...What should i do?

(should've shown skin but not comfortable in that)
