Has anyone tried Aticaprant?
I'm curious to know you're experiences with it or other KOR antagonists. Currently I'm researching KOR agonists and have been experimenting with high dose Matrine producing dissociation and hallucinations similar to Salivinorin A, but with MOR agonism. KOR antagonists could be the future of antidepressants or euphoriants and I really want to try this one.
Looking to create a non-sedating relax stack
I'm thinking Maca, Tetrahydromagnolol, Nigella Sativa 10%, Magtein, maybe Matrine, but I'm not sure what else would go well. I'm trying to avoid GABAA PAMs due to medication overlap which makes it challenging. Any ideas?
Any D1, D3, or D5 agonists available?
I love the mood boosting effects of isoliquiritigenin and Horny Goat Weed as D3 agonists, especially combined. Are there any other DA agonists available in store?
What are your experiences with Forskolin?
Everyone knows it raises cAMP via adenylyl cyclase activating CREB which is a key step in neurogenesis. One source states it upregulates D1, though most sources say D2 is upregulated and that D1 may actually be antagonized by Forskolin. It also affects the endogenous opioid system.
I take it on occasion and find it to be a slightly jittery stimulant-like supplement, but I’m curious what others’ experience and knowledge is.
Rate My Poor Man’s Stack.
I’m a lot a bit on the poor side right now so I’m missing a few things, but this is what I’m taking for now for primarily synaptic repair and synaptogenesis.
I’m making a list of MAO-B inhibitors available for nootropic use. What are some others?
Selegiline
Vitexin/Isovitexin (Also GABAA PAMs at the BZD site)
Isoliquiritigenin (Also a GABAA PAM, GABAB agonist, NMDA antagonist, D1 antagonist, D3 agonist, upregulates BDNF)
Baicalein (Also yet another GABAA PAM)
Hordenine (Also releases norepinephrine, inhibits NET, and acts as a D2 agonist)
~Maackia Bark Extract - Supposedly very potent though I’ve never tried it.
Are there any others I should add?
Are there any Kappa Opioid Receptor antagonist nootropics?
It’s most interesting since blunting dynorphin’s effects would boost dopamine release and hypothetically improve mood and learning. What do you think might reduce dynorphins?
Do euphoriants and euphorigenesis sometimes have a place in the category of nootropics
I’m curious whether you’d consider certain euphorias to be nootropic. Either directly (eg via BDNF/TkrB upregulation or monoaminergic mechanisms) such that euphoria is another facet of the nootropic. Or, secondarily, the euphoria itself gives rise to a nootropic effect by relieving depression and anxiety which allows for a more dialed in focus for example.
Personally Semax, Selank+DLPA, dexmethylphenidate+isoliquiritigenin, 4-DMA, and Kanna (FSK93 and MT-55) are both euphoric and functional. The lift in mood often gets me onto studying with more enthusiasm which almost certainly helps with retention. What are your thoughts on euphoria in nootropics?
